Does the restoration affect opening day? Simply curious. Obviously there's bigger more important things going on, but I wonder what contingency plans would be?

Eric Francis ‏@EricFrancis 3m So much history destroyed at the Dome including massive championship team photo from 1989 signed by most players. #yycflood

Was this a total flash flood, or did they have at least a little time to prepare?

Saw a bit of the flood news on TV. Did not pay much attenion to it. I really did not know that it was this bad. Hope CP'ers are safe and not to much $ damage to their houses and businesses.

That stuff (Dressing rooms etc) is all at the bottom level, so it's like having your basement being flooded. With how close the river is to the dome, there isn't really anything that can be done.

Hopefully beer prices will not increase to cover the costs.

When does preseason start? Does that give enough give to do the restoration?

The Canucks called to rent out the dome for diving practice as soon as it happened....

This sucks but at the same time I really want to see a picture of the water in the dome.

I hope the damage isn't too severe.
