Chelseas plans for their rebuilding/redesign/expansion of Stamford Bridge have finally been granted. Capacity is going to be 60,000 and it should be completed by 2021. In the meantime, they'll have to find a temporary home for two or even three seasons ... Wembley could be an option, but not before 2018 because Tottenham are there next season. Another option would be Twickenham.

Moyes liked and played Fellaini. Van Gaal liked and played Fellaini. Mouinho now likes and plays Fellaini. Maybe he's the greatest practice player ever, and you just gotta keep playing him because of it?

Edit: Apparently Fellaini makes £120,000 a week.....good for him lol.

to be fair, he hasn't used him a lot lately. Fellaini started 7 of the first 11 in the PL, but has only played a total of 87 minutes in the last 9 (64 of those came against Middlesbrough). I guess he'll still leave in the summer, but by triggering that contract clause, United can now get a few bucks for him in the summer instead of letting him leave as a free agent. That's really the only thing I can't think of, otherwise this doesn't make any sense to me ...

In any case, United will have to bring in another one or two midfielders in the summer. Schneiderlin is gone, Schweinsteiger is nothing more than a cheerleader, Fellaini will hopefully be sold and as far as I know, they still haven't found a way to clone Carrick yet.

I have a faint hope United would buy Griezman in this window, considering Atletico is pretty much out of all their competitions. (just squeaked through this past Copa de Rey round though)

I can't imagine there's a huge market for Fellaini. Probably best bet is Sunderland stays up and Moyes wants in. But at worst he's a warm body to take up minutes in League and FA cup for one more year. I just can't believe he's actually on £120,000 a week. Hope he treats his agent well.

where do you have the 120k from? I've read 80k everywhere I looked.

Everyone's favorite source. Although 120 pre tax has to be close to 80 after tax so maybe that's the difference.

Let's laugh about West Ham instead, as always

Payet tries to force a move back to Marseille. Bilic isn't happy.

Quote:
At his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Bilic also said Payet is not training with the club and will not feature against Crystal Palace this weekend. The West Ham manager said he feels his “best player” has had his head turned by other clubs sounding him out and has probably been “tapped up”.

“We have said we don’t want to sell our best players but Payet does not want to play for us. He wants to leave,” Bilic said. “We are not going to sell him. “This team, the staff, we gave him everything, we were always there for him. I feel let down. I feel angry.”

Maybe the best option is to go play at "London" Stadium? It might be basically vacant soon (or more than it already is).

Payet is refusing to play and wants out. http://www.skysports.com/football/ne...s-slaven-bilic

That club is an unmitigated disaster.

Yup. Sadly, if it wasn't for the opportunity he was given at West Ham, he wouldn't have made the French national team, and we probably wouldn't even know he exists.

Given his age, his ability, and how this season has gone for West Ham, I don't blame him for wanting to leave.

However, refusing to play is childish and ungrateful. He can rot in reserves for a few weeks, then get transferred away hopefully for a decent sum.

Spoiler!

I purchased this shirt in December for an ungodly sum of money thanks to the exchange rate and shipping. I'm still waiting for it in the mail. Oops.

Needless to say, I'm not feeling too great today.

Its kind of funny actually, but come on, you cant feel too bad, top-tier players dont want to play for a team thats become a tire-fire.

Well, I'm quite a new West Ham fan after having the chance to see them play at Upton Park in 2015.

Payet was the first West Ham player I became attached to as a fan. He was dynamic and creative.

I know how things have transpired isn't a total surprise by any means, but I still feel gutted.

Oh, I know the feeling well, so I sympathize.

At least when Suarez was sold it was after he bit a guy. Again.

But again, its really no surprise. I was surprised that West Ham didnt sell him after the Euros when his stock was sky-high rather than now after they've sewered his value and now they're going to screw each other by not selling him or playing him.

I hate those games. When the player wants to leave get him gone.

Too bad you didn't sit in the away section?

I feel bad for supporters, but at the same time its like a car accident. I just can't look away and its incredibly amusing. I guess I feel bad for the fans, but those owners are just crushing the soul of that club.
