the fact that the Oilers are a cap team and they have to sign up McJesus and Leon really makes me happy, with Mcdavid getting 10M and Leon getting over 6, not going to be a lot of depth on that team.....

i think they will have very little choice but to trade eberle and nuge and they wont get anything substantial back, just cap relief and non impact players or draft picks. maybe they are waiting to unleash Griffin Reinhart, after all he must be good if you give up a 1st and a 3rd for him.

I think it is safe to say McDavid is getting more that $10 million on his next contract. He is getting probably more like $14 million. If the Oilers don't want to pay it, someone else will.

Remember his best season gave him 51 points, so he not regressing to a 50 point player, it is what he is until he proves otherwise by putting together an entire season of good play. Last year he started well and tailed off badly. That could certainly be the case this year.
