Can see them win tonight. 4-1 (4th goal being an empty netter) Cammalleri, Iginla, Jackman and Giordano find the back of the net.

You're right. No way this team would ever be able to beat detroit say... 4-1. Less than a snowball's chance in hell they would ever be able to do that. They just don't have what it takes...

Yeah, I've tried doing that for 5 years now. Time to try something new and see if the results are any different.

I have simply stopped caring as much, I mean, in the grand scheme of things the Calgary Flames have no significant impact on my quality of life, when they win its just a bonus...
That being said, I still cannot help myself from wanting the team to win, for Iggy to win (preferably as a Flame) and to see an organization capable of effectively managing their assets and continuously improving with a clear direction.
I would never cheer for them to lose with the idea that it will wake up management to make big moves; I prefer seeing the team win games and players improving and it's up to management to manage, regardless of the team's performance.

Right about now is when we go on a run for 9th place.
Players start playing because they don't want to be traded, and the closer to that last playoff spot the less chance there is of them getting punted. Kipper turns his game around after getting butt hurt for not playing Monday.
Immediately following the deadline we collapse back to 12th.
3-1 Flames.
Book it.

Likely a loss - Detroit is a far superior team in pretty much every regard. 3-1 Detroit, Glencross with the lone Calgary goal.

We usually play well against the wings. I see a win tonight. Said that last time though. I could definitely see this game being the game where we start our post season push and we finish in 9th, and 17th again.

Could you find out why Glencross has been playing so lazy this year?

Meh, I am probably having a kid in the next 18-24 months, therefore I am hoping for a loss so there is some chance when he or she is 5 and having his or her first real memories of the Calgary Flames there is a chance this team is competitive. I am really just doing it for my offspring.

Flames will win this one for sure. Have to crawl back to .500 so management can retain all ufa assets and let them run out for nothing at the end of the year. Course, after we miss the playoffs again, management will be forced to re-sign all those ufa assets to justify not trading them and we'll get to re-live this season again and again.
They should re-name this team to the Calgary Groundhogs, every trade deadline when management stays in their "win now" shadow, we are guaranteed at least another 6 months next season of crappy hockey!

Tough call tonight. I know losing is probably better long term but I still hate losing. This season I've seen a glimpse of how good this team could be and how dynamic we were. Scoring lots of goals, skating speed improved, and a decent looking pp.
So if we win, I hope we win big. If we lose, I hope Datsyuk and Brunner light it up because I have them in my hockey pool.
