Not a chance. This was his first true bad start this year (He stood no chance on a majority of the Canucks goals)

Neither goalie was very impressive tonight, but Joey Mac looked somewhat better.

We are still without Kipper for 2 weeks, no way it is his last game.

P.S. Eric Francis also said there was 0 chance there would be hockey this season...

I agree with this. There is literally no one else for us to turn to unless we try signing someone else so hes going to get a few more starts just by virtue of this.

More like blue cheese than Swiss! Have to agree with Francis for once. McDonald looks more like an NHL backup than Irving, that's for sure.

It's the puke or poop debate all over again.

The worst goal of the game was easily the 5th, both technically and in timing.

... now carry on with your pitchforks.

Trade for Emery; Hawks don't need him.

you took off and watched James Bond. Macdonald played a good game well besides looking clueless on that 4th blues goal.

Tough go at it for Irving. He just isn't ready.

He will get a couple more starts at least in these next 2 weeks however. Flames aren't willing to give up on him yet, seeing as what appears to be some big decisions in net coming up this off-season. Unless he shows more, doubtful the Flames will re-sign him, and try their luck with Kipper/Ramo or even during a rebuild - Ramo/Brossoit/Taylor/Stop-gap (who really cares too much if they are in a rebuild?).

I was hoping Irving would show a lot, but he is just too jittery. Very quick and athletic goalie though.

Because Smith deflected it and it hit the top corner posts and in? Kipper couldn't save that.

Irving will probably get another start. I would say that this is his last season with the flames.
