Skipping out this year.

A couple reasons

The prices have consistently gone up to the point that it's not really a good deal anymore. For people like me that use all the gear they buy much of the appeal was to get great deals. Now it's turned into a collectors game. I think collectors are going to be disappointed this year. Hearing the "big names" will have their gear priced in the 500$ for gloves and close to that for helmets, skates, and sticks. It's becoming much more of a how much money can the Fan-Attic make instead of the let's move out all this old gear to fans at a good price event.

Plus having a new kid and being out of town 10 times this summer for hockey tournaments means every free weekend is being spent with the lil dude.

Still trying to find a list, but I've heard some rumors that things are going to be crazy expensive. $1500 for a Johnny Hockey helmet? I really hope people are exaggerating...

Pretty much with everyone else on this one. This event has definitely lost its appeal. I only went for equipment that I would actually use. There was usually some excellent stuff at really reasonable prices.

Every year it has consistently gotten more and more expensive and appears to really only serve to the very enthusiastic collector.

Johnny's equipment is probably the only stuff there that would even fit me, but good luck getting anything with #13 on it.

From a collector standpoint, I'd love a Monny stick.

I just want the socks and maybe the toiletry bag haha. The shoes are a good sale price too if they have the right size.

The Flames have said the equipment list comes out tomorrow.

My understanding is, Jonny, Monny, tkachuk, Bennett's, equipment will be autographed and cost a lot more because of it. Same thing the oilers have been doing for a while now. It may not even be in the same area as all of the other players equipment.

I saw a couple pairs of gaudreau pants and a Tkachuk helmet on the list, my guess is that the gaudreau and Tkachuk stuff isn't listed because its will be a "special" item and will be separate from the rest of the equipment as its autographed.

Remember seeing Kipper pads from the year he one the vezina for around 800 bucks. 2 years later they're on eBay for 2200. I'm guessing things are really out of control. And it's sad sad sad
