Realistically a guy like Williams will be sought after by contenders and still has something to offer to them so I doubt he looks at the Flames.
Iginla is more in the bargain bin these days than Williams and would probably be had for cheap, but it seems like the Flames and Iggy have agreed that time is done or as Burke put it, the ship has sailed. I'd love to see the guy back but I don't think he is top line material anymore.
Vrbata is a great goal scorer but I haven't really watched him much last year, is he still spry enough to keep up with the young guys? Odds are at 36 he is after a multi-year deal, pass.
Doan and Gionta are to old, Stafford isn't top line and Hemsky is way to soft for an already soft line. Jagr is an interesting pick, he seems to be down for 1 year deals at this point and still contributes well, big body that creates his own space like Gaudreau out there. But I doubt he looks at Calgary.
For Radulov his ask is just to high and he wants loooong term. Flames already have a lot of young top end talent they need to lock up long term.
I honestly think the Flames 1st line fill comes in a trade, Neal is an interesting target.. but would cost a lot as I imagine Vegas is planning to dump him at the deadline for an inflated price.

Go big with Radulov or stay within the organization and let Ferland play with them.

How about Rielly Smith out of Vegas? Could be a cheap RW option? Not sure if they are wanting to keep him though..
He's capable of scoring 20+ goals. Could see him hitting 20-25 playing with Gaudreau and Mony.
or go BIG and get Kovalchuk

Come on, everyone, stop being so cheap! We should try and get a superstar RW. I didn't like Radulov's off-ice antics in Nashville, but looks like he had changed since then. He seemed like an inspired player in Montreal this past season. This is exactly what we need now. The last piece of the puzzle. Give him a decent contract he deserves. Just imagine having the Gaudreau, Monahan, Radulov line for 5-6 years! With the defense we have now and a good goalie, that's your SC contender-quality team right out of the gate.

Go completely all in and sell the farm for Niederreiter
Or
Play Brouwer with them, he has had all of his success when he plays 3rd wheel alongside two 1st liners
Or
Ferland, they looked pretty good together last year
Or
Iginla, ride the good story magic all the way to the cup
Though personally, I'm more concerned with finding Bennett a winger than getting Gaudreau and Monahan someone to play with.

I'd be fine with signing PA Parenteau for a year.

I'm hoping that Treliving is looking for a RW for Johnny and Mony, and not 'he's a good enough RW to play #1'
Ferland played well with them, Brouwer has a big enough opportunity infront of him to motivate anyone, and we still have the 3M line.
I'm just not sure who that RW can be.
Is it a playmaker?
I watch Johnny all year get stood up at the blueline, and it seems the book is out on him. We need someone to help push the attack and get the puck to dangerous areas. Getting someone that can bring that makes Johnny all the more dangerous. Which winger is going to be finding your holes is a nightmare on defence
Is it a sniper?
With as mobile defence as we have, maybe they cover the above to free up Johnny a bit. Someone that can pick corners from anywhere would add a very scary dimension to that line
Is it a big-body?
Someone that can punish along the boards and protect Johnny seems to be the bill we often look to with that line. I wouldn't want anyone but Ferland in that role. I still think there's a lot to be unearthed with Ferland offensively, and there's few in the NHL that can match him physically.

I say see what this group of players can do. Can always make a deadline deal if we need to bolster it heading toward the playoffs.

I think Calgary is more attractive for a FA now considering the D we are rolling with. Add a top RW and this is a contender

Don't think the top 6 need anybody. Bennett howwver needs a better linemate than Chiasson/Brouwer...
I wonder what the Devils would want for Kovalchuk... Morgan Klimchuk?

I'm hopeful that Ferland stays on the Monahan line and then Jankowski and Lazar will solve the Bennett line issue on their own.
