Oh that was my favourite place to hike/camp when I lived in Calgary. Lots of fun memories. I have to make it back there at some point.

Enjoy.

Mine's the day before that, so I'll be doing the same thing I do every Canada Day; nurse a hangover. Haha I always feel a little ripped off on Canada Day as I've never really celebrated it the fun adult way for that reason, but it's pretty glorious always automatically having the day after your bday off every year.

The wife and her friend have their hearts set on going to Lake Louise on Sunday. Really not looking forward to the gong show of Canada Day weekend on top of free park admission

Ya, have fun with that. The plus side is they force everyone to park in overflow and take a bus up, so it might not be so bad traffic wise. If they have bus capacity sorted, that is...

I'll be at soccer centers in the city for my kid's lacrosse tournament. Who schedules a 3-day tournament on Canada day long weekend?

Trumps almost all. I once had a summer job that paid double time for working a stat holiday and time and a half if you were not working it. That was pretty sweet.

That box lacrosse tourney has been going on the Canada day weekend for years.

I dunno. I'll probably have my legally mandated maple flavoured product then get super wasted while talking about how much better my house is than my neighbors even though they are practically identical.

This is the first year my boys have played. I suppose they do it because it's righ after the season and before a lot of families take off for holidays. I support my boys of course but kind of a shame to be indoors and stuck in the city on such a nice looking weekend.

Looks like there are going to be some pretty heavy protests by re-occupy 150, Expose 150 and other groups.

Oh, I'm fine with their protesting, they can put the teepee up wherever they want to as far as I'm concerned, that's what's supposed to make this country great.

I mean for the most part, people aren't going to care, they'll be too busy having a good time.

Watching the Blue Jays game is mandatory. Other than that, I'll probably just see where the day takes me. I'll likely head downtown for some festivities, and if the weather is nice I could see a backyard fire to finish off the day.

Baking a cake with my daughters. It's become our Canada Day tradition. I bake and they decorate.

Do yard work and then take in the fireworks in Airdrie, they put on quite a good show.
