Landon Dupont - Calgary kid to go exceptional status?

With all the talk of the Iginla boys, this kid needs to be talked about.

Dad Micki played a stint for the Flames and probably would have succeeded more in today’s game. Huge hockey family in Calgary.

This kid is bonkers. Watched him play for years when they would come back from Germany in the off season. Kid has his head on straight. Trying to evaluate any other player on the ice is a chore when he plays. Everyone looks like garbage.

He’s 2 point per game as a defencemen, as an underaged midget player. He’d destroy bedards numbers if he played bantam this year.

I’d trade tij and joe for Landon.

Anyone following the Circle K Classic? I could be mistaken, but it seems like more American teams. Also, the American teams can have 2005's. It gives them quite an advantage. If I remember that is why Shattuck stopped getting invited back in the day. They were so much better and just about automatic Champions.

It’s the second year for a 32-team field, and it features seven local squads, nine American teams and the return of Team Hungary.

Of those squads from the United States, the return of high-profile Shattuck-St. Mary’s from Minnesota is a massive get.

Seven clubs will represent the ever-growing Canadian Sport School Hockey League, including the Edge School Mountaineers.

There are six area Alberta Elite Hockey League Under-18 AAA squads.

A trio of teams are coming from the B.C. Elite Hockey League.

Three more hail from the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League.

And there’s the talented Burlington U18 AAA Eagles from Ontario.
