Naw, that franchise and fan base deserve decades of futility for that abortion of a team in 2011 and destroying of their own city.
Vancouver is no good.

They'll probably burn their city if they lose the lottery tonight.

2017 NHL DRAFT LOTTERY, 7:30PM MT (NBC, Sportsnet, CBC and TVA Sports)
I kind of hope the Canucks do win the lottery, if only to see how much the media and fans will overrate Nolan Patrick and the Canucks. Hell, David Pratt on the radio this week already proclaimed that Patrick is "nearly as good" as Connor McDavid.
It should be funny as hell.

I'd rather the canucks not get Hischier or Patrick.
Much rather them and ARI stay out of the top 2

That was Desjardins way of trying to win.

Given that there's no generational, franchise-changing player this year, Buffalo will probably finally win.

They should have had McDavid in that one, but who I really feel bad for (well, not really) is Arizona.
They went from McDavid/Eichel all the way down to Strome, and as if that wasn't bad enough, now they have to deal with McDavid in their division for the next 10+ years probably.

I can't tell if Pratt is actually that stupid, or if he is feigning idiocy as part of his public persona.

If not Buffalo, I would have been fine with McDavid going to Arizona.

Hopefully not Vegas. Getting a 1st overall this summer may be enough to dissuade them from offer-sheeting McDavid next summer.
Overall, it's strange not really caring who wins this thing. It would be nice to see Arizona win.

I am rooting for Vegas to win so that the crazies can cry about the fix being in.
Also, not the Nucks.

If McGriddle makes it to RFA I can't imagine any team in the league that won't offersheet him regardless of where they draft this summer.

Sportsnet has an article up outlining the draft lottery tonight and they brought up something I had totally forgot about from last year. Asking the GMs (or their delegates) if they had brought with them any stupid lucky charms. Can't wait to see that again. Mostly for the GMs to once again admit that they did bring one, but no way in hell are they showing you.
