No surprise as the Pens were the one team I was 100% sure was going to advance to the 2nd round.

100% sure? Did you mortgage your house and put all your money on Pittsburg?

Looks like the Penguins are going to go far again this season. I still feel the Caps will get by the Leafs but as usual they will end up doing things the hard way and go seven games while the Penguins will be fully rested.

Wtf is this?

I'm going to go start a "Stanley Cup Finals Thread: Sharks / Preds / Oilers / Ducks / Blues / Wild vs. Rangers / Habs / Pens / Caps / Leafs / Sens / Bruins" thread.

If a Ducks vs Sharks/Oilers thread never gets made, I won't complain.

Pens had 4 players with 6+ points in 5 gams v CBJ. The offence is rolling.

Malkin - 11
Kessel - 8
Crosby - 7
Guentzel - 6

Malkin trying to steal Kessel's Conn Smythe. Last year it was Crosby.

Let Kessel win the Conn Smythe goddamit!

So how long is Matt Murray out for? Is it Fleurys net now until he loses it?

I still can't decide if the Pens are just terrifying or if Columbus just had an emotional collapse after such a good season. I didn't watch enough of the series.

Bobrovsky fell apart. The workload of the season caught up with him. I don't see the Pens doing this against Washington. Holtby is unlikely to out-Fleury Fleury the way Bobrovsky did.

Pens have the offense, but Fleury is a roller coaster in net. He's either lights out or a disaster, and you're never sure what Fleury is going to show up, and his athletic (read: reactionary, poor fundamentals, bad positioning, worse rebound control, ill-advised pokechecks) style makes the team chaotic in their own end.

Plus the Pens are missing Letang. I want to believe, but it's tough. I'm hoping Murray is back sooner rather than later.

Flames fans who want MAF take note!

Sounds like Elliott all over again. Do not want.
