I'm going to a wedding this month and I don't think there will even be a bachelor party. Dude is so tied down already I'm pretty sure his own wedding is going to be the worst day of his life.
Reminds me of the Bill Maher joke about indoor cats living longer. This dude is definitely an indoor cat, somebody needs to open the door and let him run free.

As much as I previously stated that it is the groom's night- I can see the other side a bit. Many of the buddies will be in relationships of their own; so it's a lot easier to pass a friend's stag party past the "social comittee" than it is a random night of going out to the stripers.
My friends all ask if my fiancee and I have set a date. The female friends are looking forward to the wedding, and the guys all want to go to another stag.
I still say it's up to the groom, but in fairness I have been the guy saying "come on- you aren't married yet! A stag in Thailand would just rock!" It was up to the groom then to tell me to f off; as it is up to ATR to tell his current frinds the same thing.

The groom doesn't pay for the party, he doesn't get involved in planing the party.... his buddies do. The party is for the buddies to say farewell to their single friend.... and get drunk, watch naked women, smoke cigars, and play poker while doing so.

I disagree with your points here. The party is 100% for the groom, and I think he should be involved in the planning. If I want to get together with some friends and drink and go to the strippers I can do that any time I want. However, none of my friends have objected to the strippers for their stag.
The stag I'm planning right now I talked to the groom about plans and he told me he would love to do something epic like skydiving. I would never have come up with that on my own, and I'm going to try my best to make it happen even if every single person invited says no way. They can watch from the sidelines before we hit up the bar/strippers and do all the customary stuff, this is a day for my buddy.

I have nothing against the friends throwing out ideas. I just think they're being dicks by throwing out his concerns with disregard. I just think it is about respect. I get guys busting each others balls a bit, but to me it sounds like atr is really getting disrespected by his wolf pack. And I think you are correct though. It really does sound like his friends just want to see the peelers because they normally "can't".

Kirk: Yes.

Let's be clear here, my friends arent total a**holes. Ok, yes they are, but I am too... so we all get along. They are just being smart asses to piss me off... but they aren't completely writing me off. They have compromised to a point that I can live with, and that we can all have fun with.

I agree with this sentiment but stag parties almost always involve some kind of humiliation. Whether it be making you wear a lame costume, getting you pasted, making you wear a ball and chain all night or buying you a lap dance with a goat toothed peeler that has hairy arm pits and an adams apple.

For the record it's Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and in all fairness I don't think cheapening Spock's sacrifice to strippers at stag is what Nimoy and Meyer were getting at.

I am so stoked for the stag I planned for my buddy. Golfing, BBQ, UFC fights, topless waitresses, kegs of beer, gambling, and girl-on-girl strippers...all in the confines of the best man's house/backyard.

Thinking golf is lame = Really Lame, but hey, I can see why some folks may not like it.
Thinking UFC is lame = Really Lame, but I can also see why some folks may not like it, but they're usually just boxing fans who don't get it.
Thinking Beer is lame = Inexcusably Lame

Well a bottle of single malt (usually what people who go off about "the good stuff" are talking about) doesn't rally work well when you're out on the golf course.
When it comes to sitting around socializing, I'll say that beer and scotch are on par for a hanging with buddies drink, and it really comes down to choice. But when it comes to being out on the course on a hot day and wanting something refreshing Beer >>>> "the good stuff".

Personally, I think a Stag is a chance to get together with buddies and cut loose. It doesn't need to be about the groom or the groomsmen, but about having a good time together. There shouldn't be anything that any of you hate, especially the groom, but it should also be memorable. A little embarrassment for the groom is expected, as long as it is good natured.
My cousin's stag had a stripper. To this day we talk about....the goldfish people puked. To raise money for the groom, there was a bunch of gambling with a house cut going to the groom. One unique event was goldfish racing. Someone bought a bunch of feeder goldfish, you would buy one for $5 and in a piece of evestrough filled with water there was a race. One (drunk) guy whose fish lost, or to be mores specific, didn't cross the startline, scooped his fish out and ate it. So many other losers did the same. And that is the thing about that stag that the most people remember. Not the stripper. LOTS of stags do strippers.
You want this to be a night long remembered by you and your buddies. It should be remembered for the right reasons.

Why can't you just respect your friend's opinion, and the fact that it differs from yours?
You must be a total jerk.
