Default How do you donate your body/brain to science?

I've heard about it but never really knew the process. I'd like to make sure all organs are donated to help people who need them when I die, and would like to donate my brain for science purposes.

I know most people have signed up to donate organs for transplants but has anyone had experience with the latter?

I just had to get a new driver's license because I moved, and they asked about being an organ donor. There are three levels that you can sign up for, certain organs, all organs, and everything for scientific research. Go to the registry and update your license, and bring your health card when you do.

Well the U of C takes donations of entire bodies for medical students to learn from:

I am sure other universities in Canada have similar programs.

I think you have make sure you notify your doctor and family members that is what you want done because they have to arrange it after your death. Having it explicitly stated in your will is probably a good idea too so that no one later claims you changed your mind.

I've had clients use that program at UofC. Worked well, if those are your intentions.

I use to sign to give everything but at 50 what's the point? Everything worthwhile is on it's way out
