I like his sad attempt to argue that a gun free zone would somehow attract a school shooter, despite the most recent evidence in Florida showing that wasn't the case.

Here we go again.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/02/two-...ty-report.html

Quote:
At least two people were shot dead in a dormitory at Central Michigan University on Friday and police were hunting for a suspect, according to the Detroit Free Press.

The suspect, a 19-year-old male, was considered "armed and dangerous," according to the city of Mount Pleasant's Twitter account.

State police officials did not immediately respond to calls seeking comment.

The university, located about 125 miles (200 km) northwest of Detroit, had said on Twitter there were reports of shots fired at Campbell Hall.

Agreed. If he was truly serious he would do what he always does when he wants to get his way...write an executive order. He isn't doing that. He's creating theater with some televised chats to make himself look good but ultimately leaving it up to the houses. Why? Because they won't pass anything.

He's banning bump stocks through executive order. At this point let's take what we can.

Sure, that's what he said he was going to do. But will he actually do it? I doubt it.

He's had two weeks for that order. It hasn't happened. And the NRA was crowing yesterday about the bestest ever meeting with him yesterday.

Yup. Nothing will happen in regards to gun control on Trump's watch. Let's not forget the NRA spent around $31 million in support of his campaign.

Early reports but sounds like a student invited his parents to come up and visit and then he shot them.

It's because Trump is not the rich tycoon that isn't beholden to money or lobbyists like they were claiming.

Delta looks to be the main target of this although technically all airlines get this break. Government of Georgia looking at possible retaliation for Delta cutting ties with the NRA.

Delta posted this a few days ago, maybe in anticipation.

Delta is one of Georgia’s most powerful engines for economic growth

Delta contributes $300 million annually to Georgia state and local governments through taxes and fees.

The company paid its Georgia employees $500 million in profit sharing in 2017, resulting in $30 million in income tax withholdings.

Delta pays more than $200 million a year in operating expenses to Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, supporting airport police, fire, security and other functions.

Direct flights out of Atlanta have supported nearly $11 billion in foreign investment in Georgia since 2011 and the creation of more than 42,000 jobs in Georgia

I can't imagine voters in Georgia would be pleased with this idiotic move.

I've been wondering about that too. I'm wondering if the offers from other states are pouring in as we speak.

I also wonder where that places Atlanta on Amazon's HQ2 list. I know I wouldn't set up somewhere where they would yank tax breaks like that. I'd be interested in Bezos is going to jump in the fray at all.

Apparently "business-friendly" Republicans are only friendly to those businesses that facilitate murder.
