Just look at the titles of the 11 E=NG threads - that will spark 11 Oily events right there.

I'm not sure the CP server could handle that overload all at once.

There are too many to keep track of.

The only reason why the parade of blunders seem to slide off of them these days is because they have no self awareness and no shame. It's become a Trump level of delirium and genuinely believing their own hogwash (i.e. greatest organization ever despite evidence contrary to that presenting itself every week).

The Edmonton Oilers, like any sports franchise, have had their fair share of missteps and questionable decisions over the years. Here are some notable ones:

1. **Poor Draft Choices:** The Oilers have made some questionable draft picks over the years, such as selecting Nail Yakupov first overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, who failed to live up to expectations.

2. **Mismanagement of Talent:** There have been instances where the Oilers have mishandled promising young talent, either by rushing them into the NHL too soon or failing to provide adequate support and development.

3. **Coaching Instability:** The frequent turnover of coaches within the organization has been a problem. Stability behind the bench is crucial for player development and team success, but the Oilers have struggled in this regard.

4. **Trades That Didn't Pay Off:** There have been trades made by the Oilers that didn't yield favorable results, either due to giving up too much in return or acquiring players who didn't fit well with the team's dynamics.

5. **Lack of Defensive Depth:** The Oilers have often been criticized for their lack of defensive depth and failure to address this issue adequately through trades or free agency signings.

6. **Overreliance on Star Players:** The team has sometimes relied too heavily on its star players like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, without building a strong supporting cast around them.

7. **Salary Cap Management:** Mismanagement of the salary cap has led to difficulties in retaining key players or making necessary roster improvements.

8. **Failure to Develop Goaltending:** The Oilers have struggled to develop reliable goaltending talent, which has been a consistent weakness for the team.

9. **Lack of Playoff Success:** Despite having talented rosters in certain seasons, the Oilers have often failed to make deep playoff runs or capitalize on their potential.

10. **Fan Relations:** At times, the organization's handling of fan relations and community engagement has been criticized, leading to discontent among supporters.

These are just a few examples, and the specific details and impact of each decision may vary. However, they collectively reflect some of the challenges and mistakes that the Edmonton Oilers management has faced over the years.

Shameless self-plug: I made a top 10 list in spring of 2017 in whatever ENG incarnation we were on. I remember because we needed a bit of a cleansing after they broke their decade of not being in the playoffs. It worked too since they missed the next 3 years... Lol

I'm sure it still exists somewhere but I'll be god damned if I can find it.

Sadly E=NG IV seems to have missed the archive forum (which is about where it should be)

Ask him about…

Kevin Lowe getting rid of Patrick O’Sulliavan when he asked for help.

Turning one of the part owners son (at the time) into public enemy #1 because Kevin Lowe thought the player (Mike Comrie) should take an extremely team friendly contract because the player used the leverage he had to sign an entry level contract about what his draft position dictated, and Lowe wanted payback.

How the organization handled the entire Chris Pronger situation.

How the organization is suing a non-profit who helps the homeless.

These are just off the top of my head, but I could go on.

Remember that time they hired a herd of trolls (From an actual HR Company) to infiltrate HF and pump Edmonton's tires?

And then they got caught?

And then the guys that caught them basically still drank the Kool-Aid?

Good times.

I'm still partial to the time they thought they traded for Heatley and we're going bonkers over it, only to find out way later in the evening that it was dead after Heatley refused to waive for Edmonton.

Fun starts on this page.

And they are still pretenders, easy first round opponent for any of the Western Conference playoff teams

Demoting a high quality character player via Twitter/X.

Said player did not have Twitter and had to be informed by their mom.
