He didn't even say it. He handed it to Faye who read La La Land as the title of the movie without even looking at it carefully.

Some PA somewhere is getting branded with a hot Oscar at the moment.

Moonlight with a better comeback than the Patriots down 25 or Cubs or Cavs down 3-1.

Kubo was amazing. I only watched because my daughter was freaking out about it. Loved loved LOVED it.

Presenters given the wrong envelope. And they announced LaLaLand because of it.

Actual envelope said Moonlight.

No one noticed until about 30s into LaLaLand speech.

Lookslike they gave Beatty the wrong envelope. They gave him another? Emma Stone Lala Land envelope, he did pause and didnt read it out loud, wondering what to do I think. He passed it to Dunaway who just read La la Land. Part way thru the acceptance speeches they interrupted and the La La Land guy was given the real envelope and was super gracious. Even showed it to the camera.

So, probably a new accounting firm next year?

Watching it it unfold again on the PVR you can really see that they knew there was a screwup pretty early on but took them a little while to figure it all out.

That dude handled it amazingly.

What an awkward yet absolutely memorable and awesome way for the show to end.

Jimmy Kimmel crushed it tonight.

boy, gotta feel bad for the La la land producers and cast... but the one guy handled it with as much grace and class as you can hope for

The worst part for the La La Land producers is they literally had their hands on the trophy. Brutal.
