Well if you're going to bench your best guys, it's best to do it against the bottom-dwelling Maple Laffs.

Bag skate them or something. Don't punish the fans by sitting one of the only reasons to go to a Flames game.
Being embarrassed in the press by being scratched is a big motivator.

Put me firmly in the camp that is really disappointed in these players, if they did something serious enough to deserve being scratched, and not the coaches or management.

I'm not concerned with the decision to sit these guys. What is more worrisome is why it's necessary.

You trade your captain and your newly acquired players won't be in the lineup tonight?

I raise you a scratched Gaudreau Monahan and Bouma. #Tankbattles

But this isn't a scratch as the coaches way of saying "You're playing like crap". This is just a slap on the wrist.

Bag skate them, make them run the stairs a dozen times, take out the skittles from the vending machine, but don't punish the fans.

Polak, sometimes I think this must be a schtick, but other times I worry you actually mean what you post....

I'll tell you why. I pay for season tickets and was looking forward to the game tonight. What did I do wrong? Honestly, if Gaudreau and Money have aren't on tonight, someone else can fund this team, so that people who watch on TV can say, "I applaud the move" .

Where's Polak chirping Hartley, I want to thank his post
What would you suggest instead? You basically just said Johnny and Mono can do what they want cause they are the best players. That's a great way to build a championship atmospher, let the best players know they are bigger than the team. Good plan.

Amen. I don't like Hartley as a coach, but this is not a bad decision. Consistency is consistency

Not sure if you are serious?

Obviously Hartley has reason to punish these players, and good on him. Rather have them learn a lesson then let it spiral into something that negatively effects the team.

Because your enjoyment is more important then running a team properly. If I show up late to work for an important meeting hung over(no idea if they were or not), you bet my ass would probably be sent home. Why is it any different with professional athletes.

We know very little about what happened. Perhaps it's not the first time, perhaps it is and the Flames want to be tough on young players and not let it get out of control.

You have season tickets, you've seen them tones. I feel bad for folks who only see one game a year, but there disappointment is on the three players, not Hartley or the org.

You guys should wait and see official info... I suspect this isn't Hartley's choice. I think this is a message from management. This is my speculation.
