HBO can't catch a break... just after news of Indian police arresting 4 people for leaking episode 4, HBO Spain accidentally leaked episode 6 in full HD for a few hours in Spain before going down. Great episode if you can find it. It seems HBO has more leaks then the Trump White House
Sadly a lot of chatter about this episode was out there long before the season started because of stupid set/script leaks, so I wasn't as surprised as I wish I had been, but that was still a lot of fun to watch.
Watching that episode, I feel like everyone in the other thread bitching about the show going too fast, fantasy tropes etc. just need to accept that this is the crescendo and enjoy it. It was a beautiful symphony over the first 6 seasons, but this is the finale and it will be loud, fast and dramatic. Accept it for what it is and enjoy it.
Also, in the other thread I totally called seeing the dragons come up to save Jon, haha.

Spoiler!
I figured there would be a dragon rescue too, but that was kinda obvious. There have been too last second saves in the past few episodes. Benjen coming out of nowhere was kinda lame. We've been wondering what happened to him all this time, and now there'll be no resolution to the mystery.
The undead dragon will be a sight to see. Can't wait.

Doubt we'll see the undead dragon in full action until next season now. Makes getting past the wall no problem for the Night King at least though.
Everything is set up for Cleganebowl now though with the Hound on his way to King's landing. Squeezed into next episode or start of next season? Could be either.

A few other thoughts on that episode:
-Sansa sending Brienne away seems like a regression in her character.
She had seemed like she'd smartened up enough to suss out that Littlefinger was making a play. Also, she seemed smart enough to have learned her lesson about the value of having Brienne around. Is this a part of her play against Littlefinger? She has left both herself and Arya seemingly vulnerable to him.
-The reactions of the wights to the kidnapping of one of their fellows suggests there's more to them than mindless aggression. They obviously react emotionally when the hound kicks that wight on the ground and they are all making an effort to save and untie that wight during the battle before the dragons show up.
-That one bear alone was powerful. Even with Dany having dragons, with the army of the dead having a dragon, giants, bears etc, they are going to be a formidable challenge for all the armies of Westeros.
-They spent a good bit of time playing up the Hound's fear of fire in this episode. Wonder how this is going to play out in the rest of his story. Will he need to overcome it in a battle against his brother? Overcoming fear of flames in order to save the lives of others as a completion of his arc?
-All those nameless soldiers who joined the magnificent seven on their trip north really ought to have been wearing red uniforms.

You knew that when she named two of the three dragons after Drogo and Viserys, that there might become a time when those two would have to fight each other. Now we are seeing that come true. Will the bigger Drogon be able to overcome his undead wight brother? Also, we now know how the wall is coming down.

Felt that there was going to end up being a dragon converted into a Frost Wyrm at some point, so not a big shocker there. I assume it will breathe frost, which will be cool to see. I wonder if the other dragons will fight it, or if they'll still think it's their brother. I wasn't prepared for a Tormund death, so I'm glad that didn't happen. I was also fully expecting them to do something annoying like kill one of the characters they just brought back too, so I'm glad that didn't happen either.
Yeah I didn't think I'd be as afraid as I was of Tormund getting it.
I guess I like him more than I thought!
"Dick"
"Dick?"
"Yeah Dick. ####"
"Oh...Dick. I like it!"
Laughed at the Hound chucking rocks at the dead then helping them realize they could advance over the water.
Why didn't Mr. King practice some spear throwing on the westeros A-Team?
I guess he figured it wasn't worth it since they could wait them out? (they sure love taking their sweet time don't they) Loved that he so calmly just speared himself a dragon like it was no big deal.
Really great buildup of suspense with the changing of the weather, zombie bear, group fight, then the desperation fight.
You can tell Jon has Rhaegar in him - yet another hint with "you don't look like your father" - as he was said to be a kind hearted and people loving Targaryen. Since the Targs married each other a lot over time it's probably pretty much instinctual to go for each other at this point lol.
Arya is creeping me out now and is acting pretty smug because of her bit of time training with the faceless men (which she ultimately flunked and took off from). Thinks she's smarter than everyone else now, which I suspect will come back to bite her. I haven't liked her since she was in King's Landing. Maybe Littlefinger is hatching a plan to get rid of her as Sansa clearly sees her as a threat now.
Wonder if Brienne will help convince Jamie how blinded he is by Cersei's manipulation. If anyone can do it, it's his tomboy crush.
As much as I would like to defend this show it is pretty obvious there are large gaps in logic this season. Not sure the Raven could reach Dany before the ice froze over but then again, I suppose it is possible but it would have taken days? After this episode it I understand why we have shorter seasons. D&D probably only received major plot points from GRRM and they didn't know how to cover the minor plot points to get the story moving. The writing is definitely off this season but still a great show and episode.
Going to be a TON of unhappy people in regards to:
Spoiler!
Viserion becoming an ice dragon. But man what a scene. The spear tore open his side like a bomb and the gore or it all. Still felt bad for him though. And now Danerys is gonna go apenuts crazy on the white walkers.Speculating here but now that Snow and Dany are a thing that leaves two dragons, one each for a king and queen. Thus completing the targaryan circle. Can't find a full link to the episode so I'm stuck watching YouTube hits.
