Was at A&W today and I asked the clerk if the all day was limited to just the breakfast sandwiches, and she said for now they are offering the entire menu (can get omelettes and stuff).

Feb 22: I never want to see another McMuffin again.

Had a sausage McMuffin and the clowns burned the hell out of the muffin. Took it back for another one and got the same. Finally said screw and asked for a McDouble.

My evening one's were singed pretty good. I'm assuming staff that exclusively work afternoons/evenings/nights have to get used to cooking breakfast items.

I don't know how this didn't occur to me. That sounds incredible.

I decided to get one for an afternoon snack a few days ago and my muffin was also burned. I don't ever recall getting a burned muffin for breakfast. Not sure if this is one of the consequences of workers adjusting to two menus on the go at the same time.

2 Bacon/Egg McMuffins and 2 Apple pies for a late 2:30 lunch.
Solid combination.

OK, that adds a new wrinkle.
Sandwiches, Mcdonalds > A and W
Platters, A and W > McDonalds
As someone mentioned. What a time to be alive. Next thing you know, you'll be able to get fried turkey legs at 7-11. Oh...... wait.

I really miss sausage McMuffins from Canada. The sausages in Australia are beef patties that taste like hamburgers that have been left under a heat lamp overnight.

Yes, I was so disappointed when they got rid of it. I was excited when I was in Maui and discovered they still had it there. Would have been more excited, if I hadn't discovered it on my way to the airport to fly home.

When did they ever have the biscuits in Canada? I always try to grab a couple when I'm in the US.

They did for awhile. I had to do some lab tests after fasting, so I stopped in and that's what I got for breakfast on my way to work. I returned a few times and got them again and then once I went and the biscuits were no more. :-(

Creekside (Evanston) A&W are the ones that said they do everything (and they didn't look happy about it)

One of the reasons why the franchises were hesitant about making the switch to all day breakfast was staff impact. I guess the way they used to utilize the kitchen for breakfast was different than for the lunch and dinner options. You would think now the kitchen is set up different to make way for both options.
The more and more I think about this, there might be a business rationale for offering an all day breakfast menu as opposed to just selling breakfast.
I know a lot of people who refuse to eat at McDonalds during lunch or dinner due to the perceived unhealthiness of the food but don't hesitate at all to pick up a sugary coffee, fatty and salty breakfast sandwich along with a sweet muffin. I know it sounds STUPID to think like that but I think a lot of people might think that the breakfast options are "healthier" than something like a Big Mac??
I have always found people to be a bit confused as to what they are eating health wise. People always vilify something like pizza as being "unhealthy" but don't bat an eye with a loaded deli meat sandwich from Subway. It's just interesting.
