Sooner the better
It dates back a few years now and it's only getting worse. He rarely lays off as much as he should and seems more concerned about popping dingers than generating hits and ultimately, wins with an approach like this.

If the Jays are going to make any noise this year, the entire lineup is going to need to buy into the next man up mantra and be much more willing to take a walk, slap the ball the other way etc.

With the Blue Jays being so bad it's going to free up a lot more spare time for me in the evenings.

maybe they should have Bautista lead off again. It changes his mentality to get on base.

Expect a regression to the norm for these bats has to happen soon.
Other then Travis these are old players. Old players, especially in today's game, don't get better! They can fall off cliffs fast!

Not crying it's the truth. It's a weak line up to begin with and without Donaldson it's borderline bottom 5. If a few guys don't regain form or others don't step up it will be a long season, I don't care how many games are played.

Pitching will (hopefully) keep them competitive but they need to change their approach at the plate as they cannot mash like they use to. Get runners on and get balls in play. Cut down on the ridiculously amount of strike outs. And most of this could be said about last year as well.

Martin is just a black hole right now. 2 fastballs down the middle and he fouls them off.

Strike 3 call on Russell was bullcrap.
