Our most consistent player has been Backlund, but to your point I am not convinced a 18 year old rookie who has been averaging 14 mins/game will be able to play top line minutes on his off-wing and remain as effective as he has been. Kid's been good but his line mates have also been really good. Can he provide a spark to the first line? Maybe. But I am more inclined to give more experience to the top players than a rookie.

Bennett should be back on the wing. He needs to get his confidence back. Losing faith in coaching again here. Seeing a lot of stubbornness.

Reminds me of a previous Flames coach! I don't recall but what was Sutter always keeping together Regher and Phanuef?

He will if the Leafs are destroying the Flames, or if one of the golden leafs gets a few points on the Flames.

I suppose that depends on the score or final outcome of the game. He's good at picking his spots.

Guys worry not, the Flames got this.
They will win.
The only thing to be determined is if that's a "fact" or an "alternative fact".

The coach not doing what you'd prefer does not equal stubbornness on his part.

Currently having a pint at Mill Street at Union Station (literally the only one here but waiting on my cousin).
Did some calculations:
12 Years, 7 Months, 19 Days since my last Flames game... 13 Years, 11 Months, 30 Days since the last time I saw them win in person.
I'm like a little kid at Christmas

Honestly after last game I've lowered my expectations for this season by quite a bit, only thing I want out of this game is for Johnny and Sam to get a couple points and if we win as well that would be great. This team needs Bennett to become the player we thought we were getting with our highest pick ever. It probably is what this rebuild hinges on. He needs to get going, it's imperative. He has two veteran wingers on his line and if he is the player we drafted he should do very well with that line. C'mon Bennett we need you
