This is such an epic snake battle! And it doesn't even matter that we already know how the green and purple snakes do... Crazy!

My Girlfriend owns a snake. I have to go and feed it tomorrow because she is out of town. In anticipation of the Flames 6th win in a row, I shall feed the snake 2 live mice.
Feed the snake!!!!!!

Just feed it one mouse. Let it also feast on wins.

A win is two points. Feed the snake two mice. Math!

Just curious, are the mice really alive when the snake consumes them?

I have owned snakes and it depends on the snake. Some will only eat live prey. Others, you freeze the dead animal, thaw it out and the hand feed the snake.

I had intended to wear the Monahan jersey to inspire the red snake to its sixth straight win. Instead, when I saw it was retro jersey night, and they were playing Winnipeg, I wore my Guy Chouinard #16 Atlanta Flames retro jersey. This was the one six jersey could help the Flames beat the Jets and say the just won six in a row. Without the goal with 0.1 seconds left, it would have been a perfect 1-6 game. My TJ Brodie #7 jersey is awaiting next Wednesday's game against Tampa Bay, as the red snake goes for its seventh straight win.
The red snake managed to win to stay above the purple snake, even though the purple snake just ran off a 7 game win streak. It is now within 2 points of the green snake. This is quite a turnaround from when it was 10 points below the green snake after games 25-27. During the green snake's first four games of a seven game pointless streak, the red snake has gained two points each game. With a seventh straight win on Wednesday, the red snake has a chance to tie the green snake for the first time since both snakes lost their first game of the season. It is now 2.293 points below the black line, which is the closest it has been since the conclusion of game #9.

I feel pretty confident they will. Buff will be hitting everything. The only question is their goaltending.

I think it was Peter Maher who said a winning streak starts a few games before they win and starts to end a few games before they actually lose. In other words a team starts playing well but the results don't come right away, then later their play declines while they still pull out wins they shouldn't win. The start of this streak definitely followed that pattern and right now they are actually getting better if anything.
I'm not saying the streak will continue, but it looks good for an extended period of good play

To get to 90 points the flames need to go 25-20-6 for the rest of the season!

Looking back at the 7 game win streak last season, it was snapped by back to back road losses to St Louis and Detroit as well as a couple of back breaking losses to LA and Anaheim a week later and the team never recovered their momentum.
Assuming they can beat a rapidly sinking Lightning team on Wednesday, then there will be a tough game upcoming against Columbus followed by back to back road games in Arizona and San Jose. If the Flames can stay the course through that they will be in good shape.
