CP would implode if the Flames won 7 straight to get to 9th place

Rogers and SN are the happiest about the Leafs win - 5 Canadian teams now in the playoffs including the Leafs - ka-ching!

Good night so far! We keep the #1 WC spot and play the ducks or oil.

And hey if the oil loose and we dont get to play them round 1, it means vancouver wins tonight and they drop from the #2 draft lotto spot to the #4 spot!

Win Win!

They won games at the end of last season to worsen their draft position, and ended up with Laine, they can have no complaints.

As someone that slightly preferred the Hawks it's not the greatest oot. Oh well. If that's our destiny then so be it!

That was sweet. The Leafs of old would have thrown in the towel after Andersen was "accidentally" concussed by that piece of trash.

The Leafs of old would have for sure given up after that flukey own goal that bounced off two Leafs before going in.

Matthews with 40 and Nylander looking more dominant every game.

I like to think the Pens have so many injuries this year due to karma for dressing a player like Sesito who basically is on the ice to injure opposing team's players. It would be interesting to see how many players he has injured this season alone.

No.
Gross.

Go Oilers. (yeah, I said it)

Win the division so we can smash your McFaces in and eliminate you in 4 games.

Why?
I'd much rather play the Oilers in the playoffs.

First time since 2004 that the Leafs make the playoffs in an 82 game season.

That's almost worse than the Oilers record of futility.

Pretty much first time I'm hoping for a 3 point game for divisional rivals, 2 for Oilers, 1 for Canucks would be ideal...with the Ducks, Coyotes and Devils losing and Oilers winning 1 more.

Well no teams made the playoffs in 2004 since their was no season. So if you don't count the shortened season the Leafs haven't made the playoffs since 2005.

If you don't count the Flames fluke season of making the playoffs they haven't made it since 2009 so both teams have sucked for a long time. Leafs have sucked 4 years longer.

In the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons the Leafs just missed out on the playoffs, both years finishing in 9th place with 90 and 91 points respectively.
