I love how hard the panel was pleasuring the Oilers and doing the cupping during the intermission. Oh the Oilers defense is soooo awesome and Nurse is going to grow amazingly int he playoffs and oh can I have a mint?

If the score holds, I believe the Oilers will be tied for first in the division. Wouldn't that be something... it would sure increase the probability of a BoA first round.

On one hand, after the 5-10-1 start I'm so happy with where the Flames are right now in the standings.
On the other hand, we spotted the Oilers 8 goddamn points and ####ed ourselves in the process!
With the Sharks recent collapse, if we hadn't #### the bed against those lucksack mcdavid fluking taint sniffers we'd be first in the friggin division right now.

Do you really care that much about that? I mean I'd like it too, but I don't think it makes a huge difference as to how the playoffs play out. All the teams are just that close in the pacific and the west.
Also worth considering that the Oilers are probably worse at home (against competitive teams, that is), while the Flames are arguably better on the road.
So regardless of who is 1, 2 points up or down at the end, I don't think people will care that much when looking back on the season. The only thing that will stand out is what happened in the post season. And I'd feel equally as confident if the Flames started their series on the road or at home tbh.
