I tried to watch the Phillies/Jays on Sunday, got through two innings. All I could handle. Sitting there in person crushing beers in the sun like Cowboy89 says, would be a totally different animal. First thing to check off on my list when I retire in 30 years.

This is definitely the way to go. The beer's are $7 US in most stadiums, but it is like a bucket size.
I will be down in Florida for the end of Spring Training this year. I have been in 2013, 2015, and now 2017. Pro tip: see the Jays on the road. I have only been to (most of) the gulf side stadiums, but the Jays stadium is an absolute dump compared to the other teams stadiums I have seen (Red Sox, Twins, Pirates, Orioles and Rays). Plan to see the Jays in Clearwater (Phillies) this year.
We stay right near the Rays stadium so that is always where we catch the most ball.

One year, I hope to have the money and the time to spend spring down in Florida watching the Jays.

I believe in the Jays.

Maybe a shot at the division title...
http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/if-th...e-david-price/
... article said it but Dr. James Andrews, Elbow, and 2nd Opinion are words that any baseball fan should dread seeing in combination.
Sad that it would come as a result of injury but this gives the Jays more of a punchers chance at leading the AL East (presuming of course that the 2nd opinion comes back poorly).

It's crazy to me that in baseball you can win or lose a season based off ONE payer (even if he is one of the best SPs).

The Sale pickup is looking better all the time for the Red Sox.

I'd actually argue baseball is the sport least dependent on one player.
NBA being the most dependent, followed by NHL, NFL,and MLB IMO.
It certainly would open the door for another team in the division, but regardless, the Sox are the best team in the AL by a wide margin, IMO.

I think the one area in baseball that can really hurt you for one player is your Ace.
Agree that outside of that though it's probably the hardest sport for a single person to have a huge impact.

I'd swap NFL and NHL. Yeah, if the QB or top WR gets hurt, maybe a top LB, but other than that, the loss of one player in the NFL can be covered up very easily.
I'd argue that any top 6 forward or top 4 d-man or a starting goalie hurts an NHL team more.
I agree with your premise though. Look at the Cardinals who seem to lose a pitcher from their rotation every year and are still fantastic.

Yeah, very position dependent for the NFL, unless you're the Patriots. Lose Gronk, arguably best TE in NFL history? No problem...super bowl.

Gigantic pass on Lawrie. He's no longer a prospect and no longer has potential. We know what he is as an MLBer and that's a barely above average hitter and fielder who can't stay healthy.

Troy Tulowitzki sounds genuinely impressed by what he’s seeing from Jose Bautista at the plate. Marcus Stroman enjoys every line drive that leaves Bautista’s bat. John Gibbons says he’s seeing Bautista do things he’s never seen him do before.
Perhaps the lone person who seems unimpressed by Bautista’s spring performance is Jose Bautista himself.
"I’m not going to get too excited about it," Bautista said Sunday. "I won’t complain, but I’m not going to start feeling like I’m going to win a batting championship."
As Bautista suggests, it’d be misguided to read too much into spring results. At the same time, teams do draw some conclusions this time of year—executives finalize rosters, scouts write up reports. If you’re careful, you might leave a Grapefruit League game having learned something concrete.
Bautista’s spring success—two home runs, a stolen base and nine hits compared to just seven outs—suggests that he’s feeling physically strong after a 2016 season that included two stints on the disabled list. It’s not just the games that are encouraging either.
"Today’s probably the best BP I’ve ever seen him have," Gibbons said. "And I’ve been around him a few years. He’s really locked in."

A healthy, mashing Bautista will go a long way to getting the Jays back to their third straight post season.

So people were speaking of Lawrie.................
Quote:
Could the Toronto Blue Jays be headed for a reunion with Brett Lawrie?
Jim Bowden of ESPN reports the Blue Jays are among the four teams that have show interest in the services of the infielder.
The Langley, BC native was released by the Chicago White Sox on March 3.
The Blue Jays are currently without second baseman Devon Travis who is still recovering from off-season surgery and has yet to make his Grapefruit League debut.
Third baseman Josh Donaldson is also yet to play due to a calf injury.
Though, Donaldson said Saturday he's close to a return and the 26-year-old Travis has been taking batting practice and doing fielding drills with the team at camp.
Toronto also have utility infielders Darwin Barney and Ryan Goins on their depth chart.
