Michael Saunders has had exactly four games with multiple hits since the All-Star break. Prior to the ASG, he had 10. His batting average is .187 since the ASG. Yikes.
Saunders' batting average for the season sits at .262. On July 9 -- two days before the All-Star break began -- it was .300 even. It's dropped by almost a sixth, since. Heck, he's batting just .156 this month! . 156!
He's been really bad. I remember when people were saying the Jays would have a hard time re-signing him in the offseason. If he keeps this up, I wonder if anyone will want him.

Wouldn't be a Jays game without hitting into an inning ending double play with runners in scoring position.

I mean, the bases were loaded. Try to swing under the pitch? Eh, it's probably harder than it sounds.

May/June Saunders was a fluke. What you see now is the real Saunderd and the players he's been his entire major league career. I said at the time I'd take Carerra over him and took a lot of flack for that, but I still feel that to be the case.
I really hope the Jays don't look to resign him. There's better options out there.

Clutch win by the Jays!
Donaldson picks the right game to come out of his slump.
