Oh I want to be, but when there's still a Pavel Shen or a Sasha Chmelevski still on the board you've got to take the potential impact guy over a guy like this.
Still a point per game as a 19 yo isn't awful. He's probably more talented than Bouma. How would he compare to Kolesar who just got traded for a 2nd?

This seems like a guy the Flames could've taken in the 6th or 7th rounds.

How would that be a waste of a pick? If he's a Hathaway, that is a success for the 5th round.

I am from the Hat and have got to watch this kid play a lot.Iam absolutely pumped the Flames drafted him he is a beauty. He plays a power forward game goes hard to the net and ain't afraid to throw a big hit or drop the gloves.Had a rough draft year due to injuries but had a great year this year.I absolutely love watching this kid play although he isn't as skilled as Jarome Iginla at same age that is the exact style of game he plays.Great pick couldn't be happier Flames are deff getting a player with this kid.

Your son has a bright future ahead of him as I can already tell he's very clever.

Is he top draft +2 with his birthdate?
He is almost 20 and should have been eligible in 2015 draft?

Would be interesting to see what draft year +2 overage picks have turned out.

This kid isn't just a grinder/goon he actually has some skill to his game and is absolutely a beast in front of the net.Played in Tigers top 6 and is a huge part of team cause of the power forward game he plays.Like I said he was injured during his 18 year old draft season and I can guarentee that's why he never got picked. This year I kept saying to my buddies some NHL team is going to pick this kid up because he impressed me so much. Now that it is the Flames I couldn't be happier absolutely love this pick.

The other weird thing is that he was an
UFA, if you liked him why not sign him as an UFA

I wonder if he's going to play as an overage or if he will end up in Stockton?

I would think another year in WHL for him would be best since he missed a lot of his draft year due to injuries.I think the way he plays the game he could use another year to put on some more weight and strength before playing against men.If he plays another year in the WHL I predict he puts up 80+ pts.

I suspect he will stay in the dub, but his draft year was 2015, he was healthy for most of that year.

Fischer on 960 says he plays very similar to Matthew Tkachuk.
Always has been an Oilers Fan, but has to get his jerseys changed now

Not quite Ferland level of fighter, looks like a Austin Carroll type prospect.
