The fries though? If you don't get animal style you're a monster.

I agree with Reaper, and disgree with you. Animal style fries is a bit much.. It'd be fine with just cheese and grilled onions, but the in and out sauce doesn't belong on the fries IMO.

Verdict - seasoning was good but it was dry. Many better options for the money. Fries were good though.

Exactly my take on it too. I had to lol at their menu though. Everything is big and bold in your face and then this teeny tiny spot, over in the corner all by itself representing maybe 5% of the total menu area was the salad menu.

I looked over the offerings and only saw one burger that was really compelling and interesting.

Johnny Rockets just opened their new stores in a Victoria, have two under construction in Vancouver and willl be scoping sites in Calgary. Where is the best location for their first store in YYC?

I would say pretty much anywhere along 16th Ave NW or 17th west of Crowchild. Maybe Macleod between Southland and Chinook.

I don't think it's gonna beat Big Wheel , but it'll be nice to have another solid burger joint in the mix with fat burger, pink bike and red Robin. I can't wait to go check it out on Sunday. Edit: I should add bin 4 but I've never been a fan.

This seemed like the right place to post these.
As I mentioned in this thread: http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=162344 Winsport is selling a Big Ern burger and a Wick Experience burger with money from the sales going to the charities.
Here's the Big Ern:
3 patties, swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles and Winsport sauce.
Here's the Wick Experience:
Grilled chicken, swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, Winsport sauce and sour cream and onion chips.

Has anyone tried the Boogie's Burgers in Marda Loop? I recall one on Centre street that was pretty good and wondered if this is the same operation?

Same operation but I haven't eaten at that one. I would imagine the food is pretty consistent with the original location. Great shakes, onion rings and some interesting burgers.

Boardwalk is fataing horrible. We recently got one in Cochrane and I was excited for a new burger place.
I'd rather do Mickey Dee's. Smashburger, S. St Burger Co, Fatburger, Wendy's... all better.

My god that is the best thing ever created. We stopped at a new food truck (ColumbiaRiverCateringCo) in Golden. Saw the cookbook in his truck and gave him kudos, turns out he was making Glory bowls with chicken. The best series of cookbooks ever.

Yup. Tried Boardwalk in Airdrie last year. Just awful. Had the mushroom mozza burger. Mushrooms weren't cooked all the way, cheese was only half melted, bun was soggy and bland, patty was flavourless... Everything was bad
