I always figured most "7 seaters" these days are aimed at puttig kids in the back row. Unless of course you are in a mini-van or a Suburban.

A lot are. I'm 5'11" and find the third row just as comfortable as the second in the explorer.

Get a Honda Odyssey or a Chrysler Pacifica.

A Kia Sedona works if you're adventurous. A Toyota Sienna works if you're boring. A Grand Caravan works if you're stuck in the '80s. A Nissan Quest works if... you like ugly cars?

Go to Centaur. Subaru Calgary is useless. When I called a sales guy to ask if they had any manual Outbacks in stock he couldn't answer the question while on the phone with me and it took him so long to call back I'd already gone and test drive and ordered one from Centaur. Also heard so many horror stories of their aervixe that I'll gladly make the longer drive to Centaur.

Yep, that's where I take mine for service. Though I've heard really good things about All Makes who specialize in Subaru, but I lease so I don't know if I can take it there for service.

You likely can take it anywhere or service it yourself with no problems. Just keep records.

Even the new generation of the Suburban is pretty useless for third row space. It really isn't comfortable for an average sized adult.
