Yeah, I'd definitely take Connolly for Glencross. Big right-handed RW, point per game AHL player just breaking into the league, has 12 goals so far this season. Could be a good player.

Luke Schenn would be an upgrade on our 5/6 but he'd have to come cheap. I wonder if something like a 2nd for Schenn would work assuming we could get a 2nd for Glencross from a different team. Then it would be like Schenn for Glencross, which I think fills some needs on this team though obviously couldn't be a straight up swap because Philly has no need for a rental. Is the value off? I know Schenn gets slagged a fair amount but he's still young, big and shoots right. He certainly has some value, I just don't know how much. A 3rd or worse would seem like an insulting offer even if his contract isn't great.

If flames are looking for a dman from Philly then I hope they try and get MDZ. Don't see Luke fitting in with the flames system.

I hope we can get more than Schenn for Glencross. I'm willing to welcome Schenn as a option if he comes cheap enough... but not when names like Connolly are being (believably) tossed around as returns for Curtis.

Glencross would never waive to go to Philly. So no worries about Schenn for Glencross.

As for Connolly that's just some posters on CP hoping that the flames could get him.

But he doesn't have to waive for Philly. If what we get back is draft picks with the intentions of slipping them for Schenn it's effectively Schenn for Glencross

So now glencross is some old bum. Nice. The old bum is garnering a serious amount of interest from teams in the league. BUt yes, Luke Schenn is so valuable that broken down Glencross is the worst return imaginable.

The ideal scenario is Connolly for sure, but I think Yzerman is going to use him as part of a package to land a bigger player before he trades him for a rental or a draft pick (at this point anyway). All just speculation obviously. It all depends what Yzerman thinks of Glencross I suppose.

Pardon me if this has been asked before, but with Glencross' list can the Flames simply make any deal with one of those teams and he will accept it, or does he still intend to have a veto if 2 teams make offers, like Iginla did.
