Butler in a limited role (4-6 dman) with a limited cap hit, I am fine with.

I would have been delighted if the Flames showed a commitment to winning and bought this clown out when the NHL gave GM's the ok to get rid of Team killing non productive nightmare contracts like his.

Problem is ownership will not allow the notion of a buy out because it would be accepting the labeled blame and acknowledging that signing the contract to a player like Bouwmeester like they did was a horrible idea that has hurt the Flames every season since.

I wish Igina would step in and say this guy needs to go if you Mr Edwards want to taste the profit of the playoffs.

The only thing Bouwmeester can do well is chase down pucks for icing.

He has no heart. He has no physical bones in him. I have seen more physical play in a ringette game. If he had 1/8th of the grit the Sarich has he would be in the Hall of Fame.

Easy to be the Ironman when you could have 2 eggs in your shoulder pads and still have them not broken at the end of a game.

Watching him try and shoot the puck on net from the blue-line tonight almost made me puke.

I've never seen such a weaker shot before in my life. Honestly bantam kids can shoot the puck harder and I'm being dead serious. It's pathetic.

I wish he was traded last offseason, hopefully Feaster can figure something out.

Its strange to me the fans ran Phaneuf out of town because what he scored a pile of points. Hit like a freight train.
Kept the the othe team on their toes.
Was still learning the down low aspects to D. Struggled with that.
But even more so a number of fans and media like Grant Pollock harped on his private life. Away from hockey.
So he gets run out of town and we trade who was a star regardless of what you thought of him.
He contributed to the team.
So some of the fans run the kid out of town, quickly for all the wrong reasons.
In return we get a bunch of Leaf garbage and headaches.

If ever a player should be run out of town by the fans its Bouwmeester.
The team is gotten worse since this useless tool came to Calgary.
He has done next to nothing for the Flames in now his 4th season and its going to just get worse.

Bouwmeester does not deserve to be constantly defended every season he has earned negative hostility from the paying fans and a 1 way ticket out of town.
