Walt Disney World's Hall of Presidents—closed for renovations since January 2017 in order to add a new Donald Trump robot—was originally scheduled to reopen with its new president in time for summer.
But now, its reopening has been pushed back to no earlier than the fall, and perhaps beyond that, according to Disney sources familiar with the attraction. After much behind-the-scenes drama and internal machinations about whether or not Trump would have a speaking role in the attraction, Disney told a local TV station that Trump would indeed speak. But the road to get to this point has been fraught with difficulties.
Quote:
Disney assumed that the transition from Obamabot to Trumpbot would be smooth and seamless. "We've already prepared a bust of President-elect Trump to go into our Hall of the Presidents at Disney World," said Disney CEO Bob Iger in a call with Wall Street analysts last November. But instead, according to a source close to Magic Kingdom management, the Trump communications team has been combative and obstinate, upsetting an established process that three prior presidential administrations found amenable.
"When Disney tried to get this process started earlier this year," said the source in an email to Motherboard, "Trump's people said, 'We'll be writing the speech that the President's Audio-Animatronic figure will be saying.'"
"The Imagineers [the researchers and developers behind Disney's theme park attractions] tried to point out that they're typically involved with this process," continued the source. "That they directly collaborated with Clinton, Bush, and Obama's people when it came to figuring out what the President's Audio-Animatronic figure would say. Trump's people said, 'No. We're writing this speech. You guys have no input on this.'"

So Kushner's meeting with Russian bank VEB during the transition period is starting to look really significant; in part because VEB isn't really a bank, but more a private financing wing of the Russian government; VEB has been hit with sanctions by the US for that reason. Kushner's meeting apparently came at the request of ambassador Kislyak, was with its director Gorkov who is essentially a KGB operative. All of this Kushner failed to report on his security clearance application. And revealed as Kushner's just hired one of the top criminal defense lawyers in the country (Abbe Lowell, who defended Clinton during impeachment hearings.)
And signs out there report to the Times having another incoming bombshell. People in the industry have been aware of a major incoming story from the times since at least Friday, and it's possible that it could have been bumped back yesterday so as not to knock the CBO story off the front page. Observers have also noted that Fox rolled out the narrative late last week that collusion with Russia wouldn't necessarily be illegal, and speculation is that this line is coming from the whitehouse as a way to get ahead of an incoming story.

McConnell told GOP senators that he wants to make changes to the bill, get a new Congressional Budget Office score and have a vote after the holiday.
A White House official and a GOP aide on the Hill told CNN that White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and Vice President Mike Pence invited all Republican senators to White House on Tuesday afternoon.
Republican leadership, along with Pence, had sought earlier to woo members of their own party into supporting the fragile health care bill behind closed doors Tuesday, as a fifth senator came out against voting for a procedural step to advance their plans to repeal and replace Obamacare.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will delay the vote on the Republican leadership's health care bill until after the July 4 recess, two sources told CNN.

Trump's laywer's lawyer also has a shady charity, surprise surprise. Extra scumbag points for calling religious people and pressuring them into "sacrificial" giving when they can't afford it (because God needs that as proof of your faith in order to reward you despite being omniscient I guess).
Documents obtained by the Guardian show Sekulow that month approved plans to push poor and jobless people to donate money to his Christian nonprofit, which since 2000 has steered more than $60m to Sekulow, his family and their businesses.
Telemarketers for the nonprofit, Christian Advocates Serving Evangelism (Case), were instructed in contracts signed by Sekulow to urge people who pleaded poverty or said they were out of work to dig deep for a “sacrificial gift”.
“I can certainly understand how that would make it difficult for you to share a gift like that right now,” they told retirees who said they were on fixed incomes and had “no extra money” – before asking if they could spare “even $20 within the next three weeks”.
In addition to using tens of millions of dollars in donations to pay Sekulow, his wife, his sons, his brother, his sister-in-law, his niece and nephew and their firms, Case has also been used to provide a series of unusual loans and property deals to the Sekulow family.
Haha funny article on how Trump displays a fake Time magazine cover featuring himself in his golf courses. "Hey you, photoshop a fake Time magazine cover with me on it and hang it up in my golf courses to impress the guests." There are no words.
Looks like the vote to even take up McConnell's bill has been delayed until after the recess.
Facing intransigent Republican opposition, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the Republican leader, has told senators he will delay a vote on his legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act, dealing President Trump an embarrassing setback on a key part of his agenda.
Republican leaders had hoped to take a page from the playbook used to get a bill over the line in the House, appeasing the most conservative members of their conference while pressuring moderates to fall in line with fewer concessions.
But as opposition mounted in both camps, even against a vote just to take up the bill, Mr. McConnell decided he would delay consideration until after the Senate’s weeklong July 4 recess.

Kansas Sen. Jerry Moran, Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, and West Virginia Sen. Shelley Moore Capito are the latest Republicans to say that they oppose the bill.
The senators had not explicitly stated their opposition prior to McConnell's decision to delay the bill.
In a joint statement Tuesday, Capito and Portman said they opposed the bill in part because of concerns they have about the affect its Medicaid policies would have on the opioid epidemics in their states.

Besides the fake Time covers of Trump, this also hangs at the Bedminster club. His severe mental problems would all be so hilarious if not for the whole nukes thing

Don't know how to embed the video but apparently there's footage of a senior CNN employee saying that the Russia collusion story is mostly BS and that he agrees it's a media witch hunt. If true this doesn't help with the Rah Rah of Trumps followers. I've always thought they should focus more on his poor policies then trying to make "scandals".

You mean that video from that jackass James O'Keefe's Veritas Project that the White House is encouraging people to watch? Haha, ok. I'm sure it's a brilliant piece of journalism.
But if the people in the videos are actually who they claim they are it looks very bad.
Some random producer for CNN Health has a personal opinion about the special counsel investigation just like many other citizens, in a video made by a guy who's known for selectively editing videos to misrepresent. Even if it's 100% un-edited, what does it matter what his opinion is? He's not involved with or doesn't have any special knowledge of the investigation and doesn't have any deep knowledge or input of CNNs handling of it. I'd say a meh dressed up in a fancy dress.
EDIT: That the White House advised people to watch it despite not knowing if it's at all true or not is far worse.
