It worked for Druoin.

From what I understand Druoin got demoted for not playing a 200 ft. NHL game. Bennett mostly plays a NHL game, he's just not scoring much and it isn't reason enough to send him down.

I politely disagree.

27 minor penalties, disappearing for long stretches at a time, -12 on the season.

This is no Backlund in the making here where he's doing all the little things right and its just a matter of time before he puts it all together... he doesn't use his line mates well, he's lazy, and he's undisciplined, doesn't drive the front of the net.

His ceiling is through the roof, sure, but he's not playing an NHL game today. He's falling off a cliff and will finish with a much worse year counting wise than his rookie season. GG kept him at 12 minutes last game. He needs to be the #1C on the AHL, he's not becoming the franchises best pick in its history by playing 3rd line minutes with a mixed bag of line mates.

That's how I see it anyway.

Stockton went down 3-0 in the first period but have clawed back to make it 4-4 near the end of the second. 2 points for Janko and Shinkaruk.

Should be an exciting third.

How is sending a player with 135 NHL games to the ahl supposed to boost his confidence? National story about how he's been struggling so bad he's getting demoted. That will help.

He's getting third line minutes and scoring like a third liner. I thought he had an excellent last game as well.

Also, Bennett's main teammates have been Brouwer, Chiasson, and Versteeg.

2 garbage players and 1 half decent one. Give him a little help and he'd produce just a much as Monahan I guarantee it.

Heats lose, 5-4. San Jose scored right at the end of the 2nd and the Heat couldn't really manufacture anything in the 3rd.

Stockton now below .500 for the first time all season.

Looks like Gillies played like garbage. Another decent game for Jankowski at least.

How often are AHL coaches fired mid-season?

Seems like Flames management likes Huska, but they might need to shake things up.

I'll admit I wanted Janko up in the big leagues right away, but this year in the AHL looks to have been great for his game

IMO at the same age he's ahead of where Backlund was and looking at only stats doesn't tell Bennett's full story. I watch him play and he's always competitive.

The Heat at least outshot the Condors by a huge amount. Lately they haven't even been in games but tonight they got a lot of looks at least.
