Sow have a lower rate of gun ownership, and a much lower ate of death by firearm. It almost appears that having fewer guns is strongly correlated to having fewer gun related deaths.
Spoiler!

not a mass shooting, but wtf, what a civilized country.

Quote:
INDIANAPOLIS — Authorities say an argument between two Indianapolis-area neighbours, including one riding a lawnmower, escalated into across-the-fence gunfire.

A video provided by the Johnson County prosecutor’s office shows the two trading insults June 27 before 59-year-old Jeffrey S. Weigle — apparently cutting grass at the time — pulls out a handgun.

The video then shows 49-year-old Indianapolis firefighter Dean Keller fire his gun and Weigle returning fire.

A police report says Weigle suffered a chest wound. Keller wasn’t injured.

The Indianapolis Star reports that Johnson County Prosecutor Brad Cooper said Wednesday that Keller won’t be charged for the shooting in Greenwood.

Cooper says “it was reasonable for Keller to believe deadly force was necessary to prevent serious bodily injury.”

Cooper says charges against Weigle will be determined once he recovers.

There was also 25 shot at some nighclub last week and it barely registered on American media sites, and nothing here on CP. Amazing where that country is headed.

how does that even happen? So many shots and he missed every shot? I don't get it. Don't carry a gun, this can't happen, simple.

adrenaline makes the body shake, aiming a gun at that point is hugely difficult, remember how you felt after a fight, on edge, talking to much hands shaking mouth dry, that's the effect on mother natures 'meth', adrenaline!

Not a mass shooting, but I'm not sure we have an ongoing US police shooting thread.

Woman calls police after hearing noises in her back alley and winds up shot dead by them.

"Damond, dressed in her pyjamas, reportedly approached the driver's side window of the police car when it arrived in the alley and an officer shot across his partner at Damond more than once from the passenger seat"

How goddamn trigger happy are the cops down there that they randomly shoot someone who approaches their car. Presumably without giving the person a warning first. And then not even just one shot. So ####ed up.
