Still 2-1 for the Heat at the end of the second period. Shots are 26-22 for the Heat. They're also 1/3 on the PP (which is shockingly good since their PP is crap on the road).

You mean in the last couple of weeks or tonight?
The last couple of weeks they've been awful due to a completely dried up offense.
Tonight it sounds like Kolanos is tearing it up and they're all playing fairly well.

Heat blowing the 2 goal lead, now losing 3-2 about half way through the third. Haven't seen the game today, but they have been playing like crap for a few weeks now and this seems like thown away points. Slip sliding away....

Empty net goal for the Ice Hogs right at the end of the game - might be a 4-2 loss, might be a 3-2 loss, but yet another loss it is.
Heat sucking large right now, lucky to score more than a single goal in any game.

Looking at the score sheet the team doesn't seem like they are playing bad. Out shooting the icehogs 32-29

The teams discipline seems to have been pretty bad the last couple of games with a lot of penalties and at bad times. Scoring, unfortunately, is not the only problem with the team right now. More penalties = less time in the offensive zone.
Good to see Kolanos get a couple of goals today though.

His last game was November 30.
They're 2-6-1-1 since then (for some reason, the AHL splits OT and SO losses). They're 15-8-3-3 overall, so they were 13-2-2-2 before his injury.
30/38 possible points with Sven, 6/20 without.

To be fair, they also lost Walter, Bouma and others during that period.
