So far all I've gleaned from this thread is that the 00's had some pretty mediocre music.

Can't see the videos, so may have been posted already, but Baz Luhrman's "Sunsreen" is still one of my favorites.

Great line.

Mediocre? 1995-2005 is possibly the worst decade in music of all time.

2005-2015 is significantly worse. Likely twice as bad.

I had to look it up, and I don't think I've ever heard "Going On". Neither have most people.
Gnarls was huge on, for lack of a better term, black or R&B radio in the US for a period between 2006-2008. They didn't exist within a vaccuum of what garbage Alberta stations were playing.
A better example of a rap "super" collaboration with one real hit is the Terror Squad. Obvs Fat Joe was involved in other stuff, but the only other real hit they had, "Whatch Gon Do" is pretty much a Big Pun + song.
I love the fat guy dance.

If you're going to post Sandstorm, it has to be the 10 hour loop of it.

The 3:47 version was close enough.

If were talking about EDM (or techno as it was eloquently known back then) then this has to be mentioned:

Although Benny Benassi is still going strong to this day and has had a very successful career.

I can't think of any one hit wonder from that decade that I really liked. Some decent ones:
Manu Chao, Me Gustas Tu
Darkness, Thing Called Love
Mario, Let Me Love You
Empire of the Sun, Walking on a Dream
This was kind of a guily pleasure:

Most decades' one hit wonders don't look too hot with the benefit of hindsight.

Jesus, that was from '97. Do the '00s mean something different to everyone else, or am I wrong in thinking it means '00-'09?
