When can we start talking about it without the spoiler tags?

Spoiler!

Episode 3 has me a little confused (text sent to IT guy's phone ??)

Binge-watched the whole thing. Much better than first season now that characters are more developed.

Garret Walker's initials and mouth/lips keep reminding me of G.W. Bush.

I'm hardly an IT nerd, but the best example I can give is the two step authentication that is in Gmail. You go to the website and put in your username and password, then the server sends a msg to the phone on the account. Then you enter that passcode for access. It's an extra level of security.

There is a spoiler warning in the title, I say go for it.

I can't help but think the Zoe thing hurt the show in the long run. Frank and her had a great dynamic and I would have liked to have seen it for another season.

As shocking and as great at the train moment was, I felt like it hurt the show in the long run.

Liked the season for sure though.

My thought is that Kate Mara wanted off the show for some reason, thus the quick exit (reinforced by her being cast in the new Fantastic Four movie). From how the first season ended, they seemed to have setup Zoe and her two reporter friends to be the main anti-Frank group trying to take him down, but then after she died the other two characters were pushed aside rather quickly and Raymond Tusk was setup as the nemesis

This is based off a book. In the British version, her character was killed off at the same point as well.

Well kudos to the writers for sticking to the original story, but it's a shame we had to lose such a hottie (and good actress) so early on

Just wrapped up season 2... It was awesome.

My only complaint: Was anyone else annoyed by how wishy-washy/hot-cold President Walker was about Underwood?

Mostly at the end. However I think that may be setting up a potential twist, so I'll see how it plays out.

Just finished season 2. Is was great, but I think I might have enjoyed the first season better.

One thing I missed...how did creepy computer hacker guy learn about Stamper?

Also, was sad to see the that head wound. Liked the character.

I hate how they haven't even begun to shoot season 3 yet. Will be a long wait.

IIRC from the AT&T phone/text records.

I was quite disappointed that Kate Mara's character exited. She was a beaut, and an extra motivation to watch- Kind of like when you tip an extra percent or two when you have a good looking or outgoing waitress. I really enjoyed the season, despite it all.

7 episodes into second season (side note - didn't know when it was safe to enter this thread, given you can binge watch the show and post whatever and whenever )

Anyways, pretty awesome season so far! Agree it's getting to the point where you either want to see Frank fail along the way as everything seems to work out for him. Or else it has to be setting itself up for a big fall if/when he gets to the top. Things just always seem to constantly go his and Claire's way.

Hoping the Zoe, Lucas, etc, reporter angle continues but it seems to be getting killed off, at least where I am in the season. Liked how Lucas was trying to keep the torch going and seemed like an interesting storyline was developing on that end. But that could be over and done with as each character that might carry it on gets dealt with. Might come down to Rachel (and Doug's feelings for her) at this point. I always root for the underdog though so Im a bit bias but can appreciate the realism in that it's a huge uphill battle on the Zoe, Lucas side of things.

Enjoying the second season though!

Finished the 2nd season, and I avoided this thread like the plague due to the fact you can binge watch it and post spoilers…so in the spirit of that…

***SPOILERS***

You have been warned.

Spoiler!

I'm looking forward to next season only to see where they go from here. Lots has happened so far and it will be interesting to see what kind of story they want to tell next.

I'm not spoiler tagging this as the thread is warning enough now. I was actually fist pumping when Doug got taken out. He tried to control Rachel's life for his own selfish reasons and she finally snapped, no one to blame for his end but himself. I just hope she ends back up with that cute bible chick because that was hot. For your other points:

1. With Feng flipping on Tusk it was his only move after the President went soft with Frank. He was going down either way, but by "ratting" on the president he could be seen as co-operating with the investigation and get a plea deal

3. We know Frank is bi after his college reunion episode when he reminisced with his old male lover, so there's no surprise there. I think the scene was included to remind us just how deep a partnership Frank and Claire have, and now they've brought Meechum into their inner circle

4. It wasn't perfect for Frank given that he had to write that hail marry letter and pin his entire future on the president being a softy. But now that he's at the top I bet we'll see a lot more people targeting him than ever before

5. I don't see why they needed to resolve Remy this season. There's plenty he could do in season 3 so along with Rachel it's just a loose end that we'll need to wait and see with

Loved the double tap to end the season.

I wasn't surprised Tusk turned on the President. He knew the President was done when Jackie took the deal away, obviously Frank got to him. I think this was Tusk's best move he had left.

I'm also not surprised they let Remy wither on the vine through to the end of the season. It played exactly how Frank wanted it to. Remy will continue to be a big part of the series moving forward.

I absolutely loved Claire being harsh with Frank towards the end to harden his resolve for his last move. That relationship is pretty awesome. Do those two ever turn on each other? I hope not.
