Watched Black Rock Shooter, kind of weird, the metaphysical pay-off wasn't worth the long build-up IMO, trying too hard to be too dramatic

I like Strength/Yu's character design though, some cool animation too.

Anyone watch Season 3 of Avatar? 3 episodes, looks promising with some decent bad guys.

Watched a nice anime movie, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Has a simpler and more realistic animation style which I liked, the story is nice (though the time stuff is really not very well thought out, but I ignored it). Gorgeous backgrounds. Worth its rating on IMDB IMO.

I enjoyed it as well. Summer Wars and Wolf Children are also two other anime movies I recommend. It's from the same director.

Wow, quite the end to this season of Legend of Korra!! A little bit too deus ex machina, and I dislike how the Zaheer got so powerful so fast (should not have been able to challenge Korra in the Avatar state, after what, a few weeks of learning to air bend??) and achieving release from all earthly attachments certainly didn't result in giving up his attachment to his goals. But still exciting and emotional.

I miss the writing of the original series though.

Zaheer should've been named Bane. He broke Korra's mind and body.

Can anyone recommend more Anime series' that would cater to a guy who enjoyed these two?

I did a quick search on top Anime series, and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Cowboy Bebop seem to show up more often than not... I'm off to watch!
Deathnote, Afro Samurai, Appleseed (movie), Akira (movie)

I really wanted to like Deadman Wonderland but it was some what underwhelming. Not bad but just kind of meh, definitely a series that demands you're already following the manga.

Episode 1 of Season 4 of Korra came out and is pretty good.

Also Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works came out on Crunchyroll among others, the animation is awesome, I still like Fate/Zero better but it's just as good but different.

Lol yeah took me an extra second.

Kinda worried that the book is split into two plots, this one with Korra recovering and then the actual plot of whoever the bad guy is (though it looks kinda obvious).

Well Kuvira took #### over quickly. Toph stole the show last night. You can tell Mike and Bryan had fun writing for her again.

I watched Attack on Titan... can't say I'd recommend it. It seemed like it should have been better. I don't like the men having women voice actors (they are all SOOO wimpy). It also had Dragon Ball Z type pacing for fights. I thought a fight was about to start, then 3 episodes later it's over and usually because they stand there and talk instead of killing.

Going to look for something else on Netflix though.

I thought AOT was great but i can see your issues with it. However i find your complaint about women voicing men is strange. I had no issues with the voices (Then again i watched the series in Japanese and haven't heard the dub yet). Did you watch the dubbed version?
