Vladamir Tarasenko on the Player's Tribune
Very well written (despite the broken English): https://theplayerstribune.com/vladim...uis-blues-nhl/
What I find fascinating about many of these articles are the crazy stories about what they did to get them to where they are (i.e. skating for hours at night in -30 celcius weather).
Also interesting to see a guy like Tarasenko thrive in North America, whereas a guy like Nichushkin leaves after only a few seasons.

My face is a bum!

I like how it wasn't super edited/ghost written. Cool to hear it all in his own words.

Anyone who didn't have a Russian accent in their minds while reading this is totally missing out. Excellent article!

I remember looking one time at little thermometer on bench: –30°C. Very usual Siberian night. (In U.S. I see news show with story, like, “Blizzard is coming!” Hahaha. I am like, Oh, you think that is blizzard? Man, you don’t know blizzard.)
|
haha Awesome.

My impression is that it's very adeptly ghost-written. The staff writers at the Players' Tribune are masters of their craft.

My impression is that at least some of the articles are ghostwritten. Johnny's for example

Fixed, I have read some really good non-hockey articles on that site.
