by what metric are the Oilers favored going to LA with the series tied...put down the SN
The Kings were up 2-1 last year against the Oilers and 3-2 the year prior. They lost both series.

I don't think the Kings are any good, but that doesn't mean I'm an Oilers fan. I just am used to the Kings getting your hopes up but not actually winning the series.

If you think I'm a Flames homer you have not been paying attention to my commentary. I hate the Canucks unconditionally, and I hate the Oilers under the condition that they're playing anyone except Vancouver.

Okay that's 2 playoff series
based on the entire history of the league the Kings have the edge at the moment. You don't have to get your hopes up but giving them a pass to round three no less.

I would put a fat stack down that they don't make round 3

Don't bet against dino7c, you will lose way more often than you will win.

Then you should bet it, because the Kings are +150 underdogs currently, even with home ice advantage.

Ekholm used to be humble on the preds. All this talk of fluke bounces… the no-goods never even had a lead tonight. I guess once you inhale Edmonton air for a while you develop some kind of delusional idea that you are the best? And become unlikable. Or get real insecure? Man up Ekholm and say you never lead and the kings were better. Blaming it on fluky bounces = sore loser d*****e

If McDavid did that slick tap pass that Byfield did to Kopitar we'd never hear the end of it

So glad the Kings pulled through but the Kings are going to need better goaltending to win the series as a few of those Oilers goals should not be scored in a playoff game. Talbot did have a few good moments especially on that late 2nd period powerplay where he robbed Draisaitl a few times but overall he hasn't been good enough. The recipe to beat the Oilers is to stay out of the penalty box and make them earn their 5 on 5 goals.

He's still getting it done at 36 years old. Quite amazing for a player that was never considered a strong skater.

Watching the 2 games thus far its amazing to me how both teams continue to make the same poor decisions/mistakes repeatedly albeit in different situations.

The Kings can't help themselves when on the PK against Mcdummy and Leo. They get so focused on whoever is on the half wall and watching what they are doing that they totally ignore the backdoor/cross ice pass and it has cost them 3 times.

The Oilers continue to play so high in the zone looking for a quick break or transition pass that they continually find themselves outnumbered down around the net after the inevitable turnover. Over and over again. Gotta be driving Knoblauch crazy. Good.

Oh and PLD...yikes. Dude just isn't engaged like you would expect this time of year and his battle meter is ridiculously low.

Seven years left on that contract. It's the same old case of NHL GM's getting mesmerized by size to the point they just ignore the red flags.

I thought Talbot played pretty good.

Oh and the kings are getting good puck luck. Wow these guys are arrogant

Their arrogance will be their undoing. Overconfidence and believing your own press clippings are a good way to kill any playoff mojo you might have had, and your opponents can use it all as bulletin board material.

It's hilarious how a team that's never won squat and has had everything gifted to them on a silver platter can be so arrogant and entitled. The entire franchise along with their media and SN fanboys are all such losers. Easily the most unlikable collection of dirtbags since the 2011 Canucks.

This is the least surprising detail of this series so far.
