The Flames have quite a few prospects right now. When I say Feaster is mismanaging this team, I mean that Knight and Hankowski should be up here on the main roster and Backlund, Jones, Galiardi and maybe even Sven down in Abbotsford.

What do they do up here?

Let's not use the term rebuild as an excuse to lose and tank, that was last year and it's done.
Positive, you're being silly, just go for a walk or something.

None of what you're saying is in touch with reality, so I'm not sure how to respond to someone living in their own fantasy.

Flames need to turn things around here and fast. As I've mentioned, I'm not to impressed with how Jay Feaster has been managing this team. You just hope he doesn't make some bonehead move like trading TJ Brodie now that he's acquired Ladislav Smid.

Brodie is a top 3 player on this team and more than likely who most other teams are after.

Joe Colborne will more than likely end up on the tope line with Hudler and Cammalleri at some point in this game if Backlund doesn't score tonight.

Mikael has 1 goal more than Chris Butler. Mikael has more less played himself off this team and since we're coming up to the 20 game mark he's more than likely done as a Flame.

Same with Jay Feaster who resigned him this summer. At this point you have to wonder if Brian Burke will take over the GM duties or give Bob Hartley the GM duties along with the coaching. Bob has a better vision for the team in my opinion and is about winning were Feaster almost sounds like he's happy to just tank. That's unacceptable for the Calgary Flames organization as they don't do that.

Reto Berra making his Dome debut, he'll play well as well as the defense group, who have been playing well as a whole.

The problem is scoring, everything is coming from Hudler and Cammalleri. Maybe try putting Backlund on a line with Stajan. Or try Galiardi or Jones with Hudler and Cammalleri.

Probably see some points tonight from Monahan, Baertschi and Reinhart which will be a bonus.

Flames have had a few days off here between games and should rebound with a win tonight.

Flames win 5-2

1. It's about the NHL and winning.

2. He hasn't responded.

3. A GM getting fleeced in a trade isn't unheard of.

4. Look north to a rebuilding team.

5. Winning is about now, that's why I like Hartley.

Backlund had 2 assists and was our best player last game. Just because he didn't score a goal doesn't mean he hasn't responded.

The team to the north made the mistake you are advocating here. Bringing in young players with no accountability or adjustment from junior and expecting them to carry the load. Guys like Knight and Hanowski may be (are) in the long term plans for this team. That doesn't mean they need to be forced into the line up if they aren't ready. I'm sure by the end of the season both of those guys will get their looks at the big club and might even be sticking with the team by years end.

The Flames have a unique situation were they have some good veterans and make it easier to interchange the young guys in and out of the lineup.

Hudler
Cammalleri (who should be resigned here)
Wideman
Brodie - who's really stepped up and should be getting an A soon.
Glencross as well.

That's a pretty good group right there.

Nice to see Baertschi is still in the line up.
Happy to see Stempniak is back in the line up.

Sad to see Reinhart is out and McGrattan is in.

I was also surprised to read that the Sharks are 0-2-3 in their last five games. Might have a chance at sneaking a W out tonight. Excited for Berra, glad to see Stempniak back. Hope it's a good one!

Getting the backup tonight:

Pat Steinberg@Fan960Steinberg1m
Sounds like the #Flames will see San Jose's Alex Stalock in net tonight. Just his second start of the season.

... I'm a fan of a lot of non-traditional hockey thinking but this is too out there even for me.

Bouma-Colborne-Reinhart would be an awesome 4th line. Hartley could actually give those guys 12-14 mins as opposed to the 4 or whatever Hackman/mcgrattan get.

Note that my phone autocorrected to Hackman. Excellent.

It's exactly the same as last year for the Sharks. Hot start, followed by a total collapse for a while, and they pull it together in time for playoffs. Just glad we get to play them during their epic collapse phase.

Hoping for some continued chemistry from Cammi-Backlund-Hudler tonight. Hoping to see a goal or two from that line, hopefully pretty. Would love to see sven and monahan get on the board tonight playing on a line. Especially for sven, he could use the confidence boost. I would like to see another strong effort from Berra. Other than that don't much care if its a win or not. Just hopes its entertaining.
