My exact thoughts. Black C is quite alright. The alternate shoulder patches would be cool in place of the flags, and yeah, an overall somewhat streamlined design. We shall see!
...I'm surprised this is causing the meltdown that it is amongst some folks.

I assume so.
That's what teams have done in the past. One teaser image per day showing an extreme close-up of a different part of the jersey until the whole thing is eventually revealed.
It's also how Adidas and the CFL teased their new uniforms last year.
I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

I have no faith the team will be wearing nice uniforms next season.
It's possible they do, even with a black C, I just don't believe they will.

First of all, no horse head. That belongs in the vault. Use the black C.
Second, yellow has no place. Darken the yellow so that is gold, which is technically the Flames 3rd colour.
Third, reverse the black and red so that black is the secondary colour and red is the accent colour.

Unfortunate, but not surprising. Whomever has been in charge of graphic design for the Flames over the last decade has terrible taste. I would certainly buy much more Flames merchandise than I do if most of it didn't look like gaudy Nascar apparel.
