Default RIP James Best (Rosco P. Coltrane)

you just know he and Flash will be waiting for those Duke boys!

Quote:
James Best, whose prolific career included 83 movies and 600 TV shows but is best remembered for his role as Rosco P. Coltrane, the bumbling sheriff of Hazzard, died Monday night in Hickory.
Best was 88. He died in hospice after a brief illness of complications from pneumonia, said Steve Latshaw, a longtime friend and Hollywood colleague.

I'm a big Twilight Zone guy and he was in a couple of the all time best episodes. He had himself a nice little career.

Yeah, between shows like Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, Fall Guy....no wonder my driving habits are largely unsafe.

He would have been done in years ago if they had Air bags in those days from all the concussions. Rest in Peace Sherrif Coltrane.

I remember being 10 or 11 years old when my Mom told me one Friday night that I could stay up until 11 o'clock because there was a show she wanted me to watch.

I asked her what it was and she replied, "The Dukes of Hazzard".

I just heard the word "Dukes" and immediately thought it was some English crap like "Upstairs Downstairs". But what did I care? Staying up until 11 was unheard of for me - especially at my Mom's request!

I instantly fell in love with that programme (as well as DD).

Roscoe P. Coltrane, along with Boss Hogg were a fantastic double act.

James Best - RIP.
