I honestly can't tell the difference between most Molson, Bud and Labatt products for the most part.

Kokanee always seems to give me the worst hangovers.

I prefer Sleeman's for Canadian beer. Cream ale in particular.

Bud is definitely not the worst beer out there. At least it wasn't Bud Lite or Coors Lite for Canada haha.

Lager? It all tastes the same: Drinkers struggle to distinguish between big name brands in blind taste tests

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ste-tests.html

Researchers claimed that this revealed customer loyalty to certain brands of beer was the result of marketing rather than taste.

We've seen this before with wine too.

To be fair, most beer drinkers can't tell the difference between a Pilsner and a Stout if blindfolded.

I sure as hell hope you are wrong.

A Pilsner and Lager.....yeah, but come on a Stout.

Being able to tell the difference and being able to tell which is which are two different things. I bet there are a lot of people who just don't know what a "stout" is.

Well the choice for Austria is perfect, Stiegl is BY FAR the best beer we have. I'm from Salzburg though, so I might be biased

India has excellent taste in beer. Kingfisher is fantabulous.

Bud isn't too much of a surprise, they have the capital to get sponsorship deals at arena's and special events, then afterwards people associate their swill with good times. It's the "I'll #### you till you love me" marketing style.

Ya, I've been on an Asian beer kick lately. No idea how they stack up compared to others, but I've been enjoying Tsingtao and Yanjing. Tsingtao's even fun to say..

EDIT: Was gonna say I'm shocked about Bud, but thinking back to all the different blue collar, "at the shop" type jobs I had through HS/college, that seems like it was all those guys drank. Seems to be the default blue collar crew brand (along with Molson)

I'm happy it isn't Molson Canadian, actually. Don't really like Budweiser but at least they give our hockey team a ton of money

Moosehead would be the best choice. Still fully Canadian owned

How is Corona the beer for Mexico? All that I seem to get there is Dos Equis or Tequate (sp?) A lot of the bars don't even give you Corona options

Tecate, and I agree that it seems to be at way more places than Corona

Maybe Bud sponsored this chart? Hence the irregularities?

I don't think anyone thinks it is wrong or inaccurate... just asking why on earth is this the case? The answer is probably availability, cost, and habit.

That said, I was speaking to a friend that went on a weekend trip with a group to the Flathead valley. Despite the abundance of great microbreweries in the area, which can all be found at any grocery store for the same price more or less, they spent the entire trip drinking Bud. I personally don't understand it and would rather go without if the only option is Bud, but whatever... Go to any Super 1, or ideally Brix bottle shop, in Kalispell- the selection of local beer is amazing. Can't imagine picking up a few dozen cans of Bud.
