That's embarrassing.

The power of marketing.
I think at least 75% of people who own Apple products just buy them because they think they are the best products based on their marketing. They don't necessarily compare specs to specs.
I wouldn't be surprised if people just think they should drink Bud because the TV tells them to.

Pretty embarrassing for Canada to be maybe the only country whose #1 beer isn't even from its own country. Better than Bud Light I guess but still very weak.

I agree, but it's also a pretty good indicator of the popularity of most every other product we use in this country.

It's embarrassing for almost every country. The vast majority of those beers are crap.

Actually, Carling (most popular in the UK) is a Canadian brand originally so at least we have that.
But I agree that Bud is embarrassing.

Yeah I never understood how people choose to drink Bud/Coors Lite/All that cheap domestic swill.
They literally go to the liquor store, see all of those choices, plenty of tasty Canadian, American and Import beer and they pick the 24 pack of Bud. Hell pay a couple dollars more and at least get Budwieser Crown or Coors Banquet.
Ew Bud. Why not just pee in your own mouth?

Additionally, Budweiser is imo better than Molson. Granted, both are pretty bad, but if given the choice...

I'm in Panama right now and don't see a beer allocation for them. It used to be Balboa but according the shelf space it looks like Atlas is more popular now.

The Asian beers are definitely the most palatable. Beer Lao is excellent and I would buy it here if I could find it. Nothing wrong with Singha, San Miguel, or Tiger either. Though stay away from Chang and Red Horse unless you want to wish you were dead the next morning

I used to swear by German beers saying nothing could possibly be better.
But since moving to the USA, I must admit there are many USA beers that could be in the same conversation as German beers.
Whenever I go back home (either CGY or in BC) I always drink Kokanee. Of the mainstay beers, Kokanee to me is the best, and it's nostalgic.

I like Bud. It's a bit sweet, but light enough that you can have several without commiting to the whole act and of dissecting the notes and undertones in the beer.
It's like cheese and crackers. Sometimes, people just want a snack of something that is quickly palatable, filling, and consistent. Versus having an urge for cheese and crackers and pulling out the raincoast crips and a delicious stilton/aged cheddar/brie/etc.
