there must be restaurants in calgary where they offer dim sum and come around with carts of food - can anyone recommend one?

Silver Dragon in Chinatown and Central Grand on 16th Ave NW and Centre St.

I just ate at Central Grand two weeks ago. I prefer the Silver Dragon.

Overpriced, not fresh, full of non-asians. Usually not a sign of a good place.

Also, their English-only menu is missing like 60% of their dishes.

Yeah like it or not, the push cart is pretty much passé. You see them less frequently, even in Hong Kong these days. High staff requirement, slow turnaround, and the food is generally less fresh than ordering from the card. Most of the push cart places left are really not very good.

It's a little sad to lose the tradition, but really it makes sense economically and quality-wise. These days it's just a white person novelty lol. Just look at Silver Dragon at lunch-time for proof of that heh.

Damn you! I was looking for a way to sneak that joke in. Little did I realize someone would reverse it onto me!
