It's just nice to have meaningful hockey to watch. Bring on the playoffs.

As a fan, of course I'll have high hopes and feel confident heading in, that's what being a fan is all about. But from an objective stand point, that race is so critical, and will have a huge impact on a team's ability to advance in this year's playoffs.
The Hawks are the best team in the west, no question. But the gap is not what it once was.

Essentially this year, we have the Hawks, and then a 7-way dead heat, with 8 points separating 7 teams, and closing.

I think, more than any year in recent memory, any of the 8 teams could get hot and come out of the west. Well, except for EDM obviously.

I'm not saying I want the Hawks, I'm saying I am no longer scared of them.

I'd agree with this. Essentially, I'm please not the Hawks, but I'm not that afraid of them. They can be beat this year

Also, if we were to get the Hawks, it would be a great measuring stick for the team, and would show them what is required to be a Cup favorite. No better way to learn what is required to be successful in the playoffs than to play the best team.

And should they beat them, well...

I think Nashville will end up getting Chicago.

Really don't care who we play in the Pacific but if it's Anaheim I really hope we have home ice

That Brouwer goal last night was deflected right? If you look... Wait, that's the 2 on 1 again.

The usual Sportsnet incompetence. It's like the show is run by the Three Stooges. If they can't figure out Dougie vs Freddie Hamilton (twice) nor Erik Karlsson vs Michael Stone...

The replay team couldn't get the right video cued up when the colour guy asked for it 3 times and it was like 2 stoppages after the play had taken place.

Are they like in year 2 of their 12 year NHL broadcast contract?

Wow...other than that one STL chance that was largely one-way traffic.

Just watching the highlights again and it struck me that the Engelland save in the crease in the third was huge. If the Blues score there they go up 3-1 and it's likely game over. Shortly after that Bart ties it for the Flames. I really like the way Engelland is battling and think he will be one of the unsung heroes in the playoffs!

He's one strong hombre, fighting tooth and nail with opposing forwards while carrying Bartkowski on his back.

Is there anyone in the league more clutch than Monahan at this point?
