He was on an emergency recall. If the player he was recalled to replace is ready to play, he had to be sent back.

Hudler and Begin are both back in the lineup. One emergency recall had to go, and my guess is, it wasn't going to be Sven, Max, or Horak.

I love what Jones brings to the game. I love the intensity, the peskiness, the a-hole attitude... but the diving and embellishing is one thing that's frustrating to watch.

It would be nice if all 3 were gone but I guess Tanguay can stick around if no isn't wants his contract. Decent guy to full a roster spot and put up points during a rebuild.

I am guessing you are referring to them diving.. but I can't recall Hudler or Cervenka diving. I know Tanguay did a few times. Did the other two really dive?

Hudler's done it, Tanguay is just a softie but he's done a head snap.
Can't recall Cervenka being much of a diver.

Hudler dives a lot and his grabbing his head like he was shot a couple weeks back was embarrassing to watch.
You may be right about Cerevenka. I thought I did see him dive but I may just be lumping him in because he is a lazy Euro and that type of player always seems to dive.

The only head snap I recall from Tanguay was when he got a stick to the mouth and ended up with a bloody mouth... Of course there was no call on the play.

Yeah, I think you're just lumping him in for whatever reasons. Can't recall off the top of my head any time he's taken a dive.
Lot's of things to nail Cervenka for, diving isn't one of them though.

That's too bad.. I really like Hudler. The most impressive thing I found with him is how he battles along the boards and plays a very solid puck-possession game for his size.
I really hate it when players go down easy, and I hate it more when they embellish... and I get sick when they blatantly dive. I think Hudler is more an 'embellisher' than a diver though, no? Or does he blatantly dive?
Jones' dives last season were embarrassing (as were Tanguay's and Morrisson's). I like Jones' game (minus the diving), but he is easily replaceable.

i come in here to vent about jones being sent down, and half the posts are about tangs and hudler.
why don't talk about how we got taken to the woodshed when we traded gilmour or dion? or how kidder was a bad draft pick, or perhaps we could talk about marty murray.......
