Or maybe his family just really likes Boston. The east coast is beautiful. I have never been to Boston, but I hear good things about it.

Obviously he wants his family there school wise and long term. Likely considering playing away from family for a while now, doesnt want his family to continuously move anymore. They likely liked Boston the best of all they've seen family wise.

Guy likes Beantown.

Not the first NHLer to settle down in a short-term stop-over after his career is over.

Boston is great, but can't believe these native Edmontonians chose it over the "City of Champions", I mean, I doubt Boston has a mall as great as WEM and let's not count how many championships the Eskimos have over the Patriots.

In all seriousness, Boston is a great sports town, the little Iginla's will be exposed to some great hockey and baseball programs. Wouldn't be shocked if the next generation of Iginla's are professional athletes too.

Boston is amazing city. I was there last in april and it was a combination of amazing city and brisk as h**l.

If I was Canadian I would love it. It is a progressive city with similar weather and a great place to live.

Don't get me wrong if I had Iggy money I would be in Hawaii. Who couldn't gonfor that?

I had heard one of the main reasons was that he wanted to be on the east coast was hockey development for girls is way ahead of the rest of the country. I have also heard that his daughter was one of the top female hockey players in Colorado for her age.

I am sure there is more to it than that, obviously he and his family must have enjoyed their brief stint there.

I'm jealous. That would be a great place to live for a while. Good for Iggy.
