Bill O'Reilly out at Fox News
Bill O'Reilly has lost his job at Fox News Channel following reports that five women had been paid millions of dollars to keep quiet about harassment allegations.
21st Century Fox issued a statement Wednesday that "after a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel."

The statue had clay feet eh?
That's quite the fall for a guy like O'Reilly

One down...many, many other copycats to go. Edward R. Murrow is smiling somewhere up in heaven today.

Mixed feelings on this one, I'd rather keep all the garbage relegated to one major news network, but if he doesn't find work elsewhere and is never heard from again then it's a win.

I doubt another network will pick him up. Who would want that potential liability? And apparently, O'Reilly is not well liked by co-workers on Fox News nor was he even liked by his own staff. They put up with him because of his massive ratings and commercial success. But if advertisers are going to boycott him, what upside is there for anyone to bring him aboard? And I can't see him slumming it on the radio or on the web -- can't imagine the money would be anywhere near what he is used to getting. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the last of O'Reilly, except for the periodic appearance on talk shows to promote a new book.

Never hated O'reilly as much as some of the others on his channel but the massive ego was certainly repulsive at times. He will do a Rush Limbaugh type radio gig I'm sure.
This is a huge blow to Fox News. His ratings were off the charts.

Always those who try to appear the most pristine are hiding everything. This ghoul actually wrote books about morality and how people should behave and conduct their lives. Same this with the religious wackos, the most full of crap people on the face of the planet.

Works out well for Fox. Get rid of the old dead beat and replace him with Tucker Carlson who is way better than O'Reilly.

Tucker is worth watching to see him get trashed by liberals hes supposed to beat up on. Its incredible. He will lose a debate bad then quickly change the topic to try and "corner them".

Hannity next?
http://www.1170kfaq.com/shows/pat-ca...ual-harassment
Quote:
Tulsa, OK - Columnist, attorney, and former Fox News contributor Debbie Schlussel appeared on today’s Pat Campbell Show and accused Fox News Prime Time Host Sean Hannity of the same type of behavior that lead to Bill O’Reilly leaving the beleaguered network earlier this week.
Among the allegations, Schlussel claims that while at an appearance in Detroit which they both attended, Hannity invited her back to his hotel room.
Schlussel says that after she turned down his advances, she was not invited back on his program.

Not really about conservative vs liberal viewpoints.
It's about sexual harassment in the workplace and it happens in almost every organization. Kind of disappointing to see that on the back burner in many of the reactions here.
